Getting Around Ripley
Ripley is a Surrey village within Guildford borough, on the old Portsmouth road between Guildford and Cobham. The A3 now passes the village on a bypass, and Junction 10 of the M25 is just to the north, so the motorway network starts a few minutes from the high street. In the late 19th century Ripley was a favourite run for cyclists riding out from London, and its old coaching inns still stand on the high street.
RHS Garden Wisley, flagship of the Royal Horticultural Society, is 2 miles north, 10–15 minutes by car. To the west, the River Wey Navigation runs through meadows towards Send and Pyrford.
Ripley has no station of its own; Woking, on the main line to London Waterloo, is the nearest fast service. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a farmhouse or a home on a private lane, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
A day of house viewings between Ripley, Send and West Horsley works on an hourly booking: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Ripley
Heathrow is 21 miles north, 40–55 minutes, almost all of it on the M25; its rail station under Terminals 2 and 3 has been closed since 25 June 2026. Gatwick is 31 miles east, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. London City Airport is 33 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Luton Airport is 49 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, and Southampton Airport 54 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Ripley, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the junction of the A3 and the M25 at Wisley has been under reconstruction, and works there can slow the first minutes of the trip. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Ripley
Woking is 5 miles away, 20–30 minutes. Guildford, with its castle and High Street, is 7 miles south-west, 20–30 minutes. Windsor is 19 miles north, 40–55 minutes, so a castle visit fits easily before lunch.
Goodwood, home of the Festival of Speed and Glorious Goodwood, is 41 miles south, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. For a full day, Stonehenge is 71 miles west, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes.
If the day ends back at home, reserve the car hourly so one chauffeur covers every leg. A one-way transfer goes to the address you choose, and getting back is booked as another trip.

Groups & Event Travel in Ripley
RHS Garden Wisley sets the rhythm of the year around Ripley. In winter RHS Glow lights up the garden on selected evenings from 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with entry by pre-booked time slot. If a garden club or a group of friends is going together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests for a family celebration land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for Glow evenings and the run-up to Christmas. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
