Getting Around Albury
Albury is a village and parish in the borough of Guildford, Surrey, about 3.5 miles east of the town, in the Surrey Hills National Landscape. The Tillingbourne runs through it, joined here by the Sherbourne stream, which flows down from Newlands Corner on the North Downs through the Silent Pool.
The village has no station. Chilworth, about a mile to the west, and Gomshall, about 2 miles east, are both on the North Downs line. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Albury Park, with gardens laid out by John Evelyn, holds the old church of St Peter and St Paul, of Saxon origin and now cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust. The Catholic Apostolic Church of 1839 stands by the Sherbourne at the north-east end of the village street. For a cottage or farm on the lanes, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
A day of viewings across the Surrey Hills, from Shere to Guildford, works on an hourly booking: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Albury
Gatwick is 23 miles east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, along the A25 under the Downs. Heathrow is 30 miles north, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. Southampton Airport is 55 miles south-west, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes; its single terminal stands beside a railway station, Southampton Airport Parkway. Luton Airport is 58 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and London City Airport 59 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Albury, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the first miles are on village roads in the valley before any main road, so build that into an early start. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
