Getting Around Forest Hill
Forest Hill stands on high ground in south-east London, within the London Borough of Lewisham. Its best-known address is the Horniman Museum and Gardens on London Road, part of the South Circular (A205). The tea trader Frederick Horniman founded the museum, which opened in its present building in 1901; it covers natural history, world cultures and musical instruments, and its gardens look out across London. Catford, the borough's civic centre, is 2 miles east, 10–15 minutes.
Forest Hill station, in Travelcard Zone 3, is on the London Overground Windrush line and has Southern trains to London Bridge. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If your home is on one of the side roads up the hill, give the house number too. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A morning at the Horniman and an afternoon at Dulwich Picture Gallery fit one booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Forest Hill
London City Airport is the nearest to Forest Hill: 11 miles, 40–55 minutes. Heathrow is 24 miles west, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Gatwick 27 miles south, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Gatwick works from a North and a South Terminal, so name yours. Luton Airport is 40 miles, 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes, and Southend Airport 42 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Forest Hill, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the South Circular, which passes the Horniman, is the first stretch of the routes west and south, and the rush hours lengthen it. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Forest Hill
Norwood, on the slopes towards Crystal Palace, is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes. Epsom, home of the Derby, is 16 miles south-west, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes; the 2027 Derby is run on Saturday 5 June.
For a full day out, Tunbridge Wells is 37 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Whitstable, on the north Kent coast and known for its oysters, is 55 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Winchester, once the seat of King Alfred, is 68 miles, 2 hours to 2 hours 35 minutes.
With an hourly booking the same car waits on your programme from the morning start to the evening return. A one-way ride to Winchester or the coast finishes at the address you name; the drive home is reserved apart.

Groups & Event Travel in Forest Hill
If a school brings a class to the Horniman, there is a new reason to come: from 5 February 2027 its rebuilt Nature Gallery shows more than 2,300 objects, the museum's famous walrus among them. For a class of twelve with a teacher or two, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; give the number of pupils and adults, and the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a visiting choir or a family party arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around school holidays and the reopening weeks of the gallery. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
