Getting Around Wimbledon
Wimbledon, a town in Merton borough in south-west London, is the home of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where The Championships are played each summer. The town centre around the station sits below Wimbledon Village and Wimbledon Common, the large open heath on the hill to the west. AFC Wimbledon play at Plough Lane, and the New Wimbledon Theatre stands on the Broadway.
Wimbledon station brings together the District line, Tramlink, South Western Railway and Thameslink. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
During the tournament, roads around the All England Club carry heavy traffic and temporary restrictions. For an address near Church Road or in the Village in those weeks, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
A day of meetings in the town centre and a dinner in the Village fits a booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Wimbledon
Gatwick is Wimbledon's quickest airport by road: 26 miles south, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. It served 42.8 million passengers in 2025; easyJet is based in the North Terminal and British Airways short-haul flights use the South Terminal, so check your terminal on the day. Heathrow is 17 miles by road, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. London City Airport is 16 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Luton Airport is 43 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, and Stansted Airport 45 miles, 2 hours to 2 hours 50 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. After touchdown, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Wimbledon, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: in Championship weeks the roads near the grounds are slower, so set an earlier start. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Wimbledon
Putney, where the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race starts by Putney Bridge, is 4 miles, 20–30 minutes. Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII's palace beside the Thames, is 10 miles, 35–50 minutes. Guildford, Surrey's county town and a university town, is 23 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
Two sporting venues are further out. Ascot is 34 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes; Royal Ascot is run from 15 to 19 June 2027. Silverstone in Northamptonshire, where the British Grand Prix of Formula 1 is held, is 94 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes.
A race day at Ascot with the drive home the same evening is easiest as an hourly booking with one car throughout. To stay over near Silverstone, book a one-way transfer there and a second one for the return.

Groups & Event Travel in Wimbledon
The Wimbledon Championships run from Monday 28 June to Sunday 11 July 2027. Your company may be hosting guests for hospitality days, or a player's family may rent a house nearby for the whole fortnight.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests fly in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a hospitality party going to the grounds together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for the fortnight, so reserve once the dates of your guests are known. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
