Getting Around Stratford
Stratford is the commercial heart of the London Borough of Newham, in east London, and has nothing to do with Stratford-upon-Avon. Westfield Stratford City, opened in 2011, faces Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the site of the 2012 Games. In the park are the London Stadium, home of West Ham United since 2016, the London Aquatics Centre and East Bank, the cultural quarter with V&A East and Sadler's Wells East.
Stratford station is served by the Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth lines, the DLR, the Overground and main-line trains to Essex. Stratford International, next to Westfield, has domestic high-speed trains to Kent; Eurostar does not call there. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If you are going to a match or a concert at the stadium, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. For a day of site visits around the park and meetings at Westfield, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Stratford
London City Airport is 6 miles from Stratford, 30–40 minutes. Stansted Airport is 33 miles north-east, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Southend Airport, 38 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, also has a train link: its station, beside the terminal, reaches Stratford in about 44 minutes. Heathrow is 24 miles west, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, and Luton Airport 47 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For a landing, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Stratford, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: City Airport is a short hop, but Heathrow and Luton Airport each take up to two hours. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Stratford
Hackney is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Ilford 4 miles, 25–35 minutes. Essex's county town, Chelmsford, is 31 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.
Canterbury is 58 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Oxford 73 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes. A visitor who has come for East Bank can join both cities in one trip: a morning in Canterbury, the night in a hotel there, then on to Oxford the next day.
For a multi-city trip, each leg can be a one-way booking from hotel to hotel, with the luggage staying in the car. A day out that ends back at Westfield fits one booking by the hour.

Groups & Event Travel in Stratford
The London Stadium hosts West Ham home games and concerts; Fontaines D.C. are announced for 9 July 2027. ExCeL, the capital's largest exhibition centre, lies at Royal Victoria Dock. It is 4 miles from Stratford, 20–30 minutes, so a stand team can stay in a hotel by Westfield.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a stand team arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group going to a concert or to the halls, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
For a concert night, set the return pick-up for when the show is due to finish. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on stadium days. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
