Getting Around Farnborough
Farnborough is a town in the borough of Rushmoor, in the north-east corner of Hampshire, and its name is tied to flying. Farnborough Airport, a business and executive aviation airport, takes up about 8% of the borough's land; it is about 2 miles from the town centre, 15–20 minutes by car. BAE Systems has its headquarters next to the airfield, and every second July the site hosts the Farnborough International Airshow.
The M3 passes just north of the town at Junctions 4 and 4a, which puts Heathrow and the routes to London and Southampton within easy reach.
Farnborough (Main) station has trains to London Waterloo. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For an office on an aerospace business park or a hangar at the airport, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
A delegation visiting suppliers around Farnborough, Aldershot and the M3 corridor in one day can keep a single car booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Farnborough
Farnborough Airport serves business jets rather than airlines: apart from BAE Systems' private shuttles it has no scheduled flights, so an airline ticket means another airport. Heathrow is the closest, 25 miles north-east, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes. Since 25 June 2026 the rail station under its Terminals 2 and 3 has been closed, so the road is the simple way in. Southampton Airport is 46 miles south-west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Gatwick is 49 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Luton Airport 53 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Farnborough, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the M3 towards the M25 is the main route out, and an incident there can add a lot to an early run. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Farnborough
Hampshire and Surrey are close neighbours here. Farnham, a market town below its castle, is 7 miles away, 25–35 minutes. Guildford, a university town with a modern cathedral on Stag Hill, is 13 miles, 30–40 minutes. Windsor is 18 miles north, 40–55 minutes, close enough for an afternoon at the castle.
Heading west, Winchester, a cathedral city on the edge of the South Downs, is 35 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. Stonehenge is 53 miles away, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes; the UNESCO-listed stone circle stands on the plain north of Salisbury, and the two make a full day together.
A visit and the drive home on the same day suit an hourly booking, with one car waiting for the whole outing. For a single run to another town, book a one-way journey and add the return separately when you know the time.

Groups & Event Travel in Farnborough
The Farnborough International Airshow is held in July of even-numbered years. The 2026 show ran from 20 to 24 July, and the next one is due in July 2028. Exhibitors, trade delegations and suppliers arrive over several days, often with display material and samples.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a delegation comes in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. To bring a stand team together from Heathrow to the showground, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, including cases of equipment.
Airshow week fills hotels and roads across Rushmoor. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for those dates, so plan well before July. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
