Getting Around Clapham
Clapham is a district of south London, most of it in the London Borough of Lambeth, with its western side in Wandsworth. At its heart lies Clapham Common, about 220 acres of grass, ponds and a bandstand. Holy Trinity Church, on the north side of the Common, was the base of the Clapham Sect, the circle around William Wilberforce that campaigned against the slave trade. Clapham High Street and the Old Town around the clock tower hold most of the restaurants and bars.
Three Northern line stations serve the district: Clapham North, Clapham Common and Clapham South, and Clapham High Street station is on the London Overground. Clapham Junction, despite its name, is not in Clapham at all but further west in Battersea. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
No part of Clapham is inside the Congestion Charge zone. For a home over a shop on Clapham High Street or on a road beside the Common, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. Booked by the hour, a day of property viewings between Clapham, Brixton and Battersea keeps one car with you: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Clapham
Heathrow is 18 miles west of Clapham, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. London City Airport is 11 miles east, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Gatwick is 28 miles south, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes; 42.8 million people flew through it in 2025, using two terminals, North and South, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there. Luton Airport is 36 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, and Stansted Airport 40 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Clapham, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the South Circular runs along the edge of the Common, and on weekday mornings it is one of the slower parts of the route west. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Clapham
Brixton, with its market and its music venues, is 1 mile east, 10–15 minutes. Chelsea, across the river, is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes, and the Royal Hospital there is the setting of the Chelsea Flower Show each May.
Hampton Court Palace, with its maze and Tudor kitchens, is 11 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. Ascot, whose racecourse hosts Royal Ascot from 15 to 19 June 2027, is 29 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Winchester, once the seat of Alfred the Great, is 65 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
For racing at Ascot with the drive home after the final race, reserve hourly: the same chauffeur waits until you are ready to leave. Going one way to Winchester, you are dropped at your address, and the return becomes a second booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Clapham
Clapham Common doubles as an event ground. In 2026 it held a Race for Life charity run in May, the Colourscape music festival in September and Oktoberfest on the Common in October. For a running club, an office team or a group of friends going together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If friends fly in for a celebration on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Royal Ascot week in June and the Chelsea Flower Show in May both draw on the same south-west London cars. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for both. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
