Getting Around Chelsea
Chelsea is a district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, on the north bank of the Thames in west London. Its main street is the King's Road, which runs west from Sloane Square past shops, restaurants and the Saatchi Gallery. Near the river stands the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of the Chelsea Pensioners and every May the site of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Since January 2011, when the western extension was scrapped, Chelsea has not been part of the Congestion Charge zone; the zone begins further east, in Westminster. Sloane Square station is served by the District and Circle lines. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a mews house, a garden square or a hotel off Sloane Street, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day of viewings in Chelsea, a lunch in Mayfair and an appointment at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on the Fulham Road can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Chelsea
London City Airport is 11 miles east of Chelsea, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Heathrow is 16 miles west, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes; it carried 84.5 million passengers in 2025 through Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Luton Airport is 34 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, Gatwick 39 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours, and Stansted Airport 40 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For a flight landing in London, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.
For a departure from Chelsea, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: City Airport looks near, but the route runs through Westminster and the City, so allow for the weekday rush hours. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Chelsea
Westminster is next door: 2 miles, 10–15 minutes, for Parliament and the ministries. Mayfair, with its hotels and Bond Street, is 2 miles, 15–20 minutes. Hampton Court Palace, the Tudor royal palace upriver, is 11 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
For a full day, Oxford is 61 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. Bourton-on-the-Water, in the Cotswolds, is 85 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes; the Cotswolds are a protected landscape of stone villages and hills, best seen at your own pace.
A day of Oxford colleges in the morning and a Cotswolds village in the afternoon fits an hourly booking, and the car stays the same from start to finish. For a weekend in a Cotswolds hotel, book a one-way transfer there and another for the drive back.

Groups & Event Travel in Chelsea
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show fills the grounds of the Royal Hospital from 18 to 22 May 2027, with the opening two days reserved for RHS members. For a group of garden-club members flying in for the show, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the party arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for Flower Show week. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
