Getting Around Capel
Capel is a village in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, close to the county's southern edge: the West Sussex border is about 2.5 miles away. The A24 passes along its western side, and at the Beare Green roundabout to the north the A29 begins its run towards Bognor Regis.
The village has no station of its own. Ockley station serves it, and Holmwood station stands in neighbouring Beare Green; both are on the Mole Valley line between Dorking and Horsham, with direct trains to London Victoria. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a farmhouse or a cottage on one of the lanes around Capel, Ockley or Coldharbour, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
If your day mixes appointments in Dorking, Horsham and Crawley, book the car by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Capel
Gatwick is 12 miles east of Capel, 35–50 minutes by car, the closest of the five. Heathrow is 36 miles north-west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes; it handled a record 84.5 million passengers in 2025 and uses Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. London City Airport is 52 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. Luton Airport is 65 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. Southend Airport is 67 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Capel, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the Gatwick route uses country roads before it reaches the motorway, and Heathrow means the M25 as well. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Capel
Dorking, the nearest market town, is 6 miles north along the A24, 20–30 minutes. Crawley, beside the airport, is 14 miles, 35–50 minutes. Leith Hill, the second highest point in south-east England, is about 5 miles from the village, 20–30 minutes.
Brighton is 32 miles south, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Goodwood, an estate near Chichester with a motor circuit and a racecourse, is 35 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. For a long day of motor sport, Silverstone is 99 miles, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes.
Book by the hour if you want the same chauffeur out and back on one day. A single journey ends wherever you ask, and getting home is a separate booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Capel
If your walking or cycling club is heading for Leith Hill, north-west of the village, with ten members, rucksacks and bikes, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load. Enter the number of bags in the booking form; for golf bags, bikes or other bulky items, tell support so the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If friends join from abroad on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for summer weekends and the Goodwood meetings. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
