Getting Around Brixton
Brixton is a town centre in the London Borough of Lambeth, between Kennington to the north and Brixton Hill to the south. Lambeth Town Hall stands where Acre Lane meets Brixton Hill. Windrush Square, in front of the Black Cultural Archives, is named after the generation of Caribbean migrants who settled in Britain from 1948, many of them in Brixton. Brixton Market spreads across Electric Avenue, Market Row and Brixton Village, and the O2 Academy Brixton, a concert venue in a former 1929 cinema, faces Stockwell Road.
Brixton station is the southern end of the Victoria line, in fare zone 2, and a separate National Rail station above the street has Southeastern trains to Victoria. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The Congestion Charge zone ends well north of Brixton. For an address in the market streets or close to the Academy on a concert night, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. Viewings in Brixton, a lunch in Clapham and meetings in the City make a day you can reserve by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Brixton
London City Airport is 10 miles east of Brixton, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. Heathrow is 19 miles west, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes; with 84.5 million passengers in 2025 across Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, it was the busiest airport in the UK. Gatwick is 28 miles south, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Luton Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, and Stansted Airport 40 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Rail travellers face a detour: since 25 June 2026 trains no longer call at the Terminals 2 and 3 station. By car, give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Brixton, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the route west crosses Stockwell and Vauxhall before it reaches the M4. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Brixton
Clapham, with its common and its Old Town, is the next district west: 1 mile, 10–15 minutes. Epsom, the racecourse town of the Derby, is 13 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. Guildford, with its castle and cathedral, is 29 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes.
Two longer trips suit a whole day. Whitstable, the oyster town on the Kent coast, is 59 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. Cambridge, a university city of riverside colleges, is 61 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
A college visit in Cambridge with the drive back to Brixton the same evening works as one hourly reservation, with the same car throughout. For a trip in one direction, a one-way transfer ends at your address in Cambridge or on the coast, and the return becomes a separate booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Brixton
Music brings two kinds of crowd to Brixton. The O2 Academy hosts touring bands, and in recent years Brockwell Park, south of the town centre, has held a run of open-air festivals in late spring; for 2027, Cross The Tracks is listed for 30 May and Mighty Hoopla for 5 and 6 June. A band with its crew, or a group of friends travelling to a festival day, needs room for people and kit: a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; instrument cases count as luggage, and the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If musicians or guests land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for the festival weekends in Brockwell Park. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
