Getting Around Potsdam
Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg, spreads its addresses across parks and districts rather than one centre. The palaces and parks of Potsdam and Berlin, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1990, cover 2,064 hectares; Sanssouci, built in 1745–1747 as the summer palace of Frederick II, is the best known of them. Babelsberg, on the eastern side of the city, has Studio Babelsberg with its 21 sound stages and the campus of the Hasso Plattner Institute.
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof is the end of the S7 S-Bahn line from Berlin, and the RE1 regional express calls there. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day of visits that links an institute in Babelsberg, a meeting in the centre and a tour of a palace park, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Brandenburger Straße, the main shopping street between the Dutch Quarter and the Brandenburg Gate on Luisenplatz, is largely a pedestrian zone. If your hotel or appointment is there, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.

Airport Transfers in Potsdam
Potsdam uses Berlin's airport. BER, at Schönefeld on the far side of Berlin, serves the whole region; from Potsdam it is 44 km, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes by car. Flights use Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, which are a short walk apart, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Leipzig/Halle Airport is 146 km south-west, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, and comes into play when your flight lands there. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Potsdam, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes to BER on a quiet day, with the traffic on Berlin's southern edge deciding the rest. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Potsdam
Berlin is 36 km away, 40–55 minutes, so a meeting in the government district or an evening in Mitte fits easily into a stay in Potsdam. Messe Berlin has 160,000 m² of hall space, and the Internationale Grüne Woche runs there from 15 to 24 January 2027, IFA from 3 to 7 September 2027. Leipzig is 161 km south, 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes, with its Book Fair from 18 to 21 March 2027, and Dresden 204 km, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours.
Two longer runs lead north. Hamburg is 283 km away, 3 hours to 4 hours 5 minutes, and its Hafengeburtstag festival of the port runs from 6 to 9 May 2027. Warnemünde on the Baltic coast, where cruise ships berth at the passenger quay, is 236 km, 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes. For either one, a single booking covers the whole way from the hotel door in Potsdam to the address at the coast or in Hamburg, with the luggage in one car and no change in Berlin.
With appointments waiting at both ends of the day, an hourly booking suits better than a one-way journey.

Groups & Event Travel in Potsdam
Potsdam's own calendar is shaped by its palace parks, and the big event weeks next door in Berlin matter here too. During the Berlinale in February and ITB Berlin in March, a team staying in Potsdam may need a run into Berlin and back every day. A tour group that combines Sanssouci, the Neuer Garten and a day in Berlin can keep one vehicle for the whole programme.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own from BER. For a party that travels together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, camera cases for a film shoot included.
Book early for February and March and for late November, when the Christmas markets open. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
