Getting Around Halle
Much of Halle's business is science. The Weinberg Campus is the largest technology park in central Germany: more than 100 companies and institutes, around 6,000 jobs, and research in biotechnology, biochemistry and materials science, with Max Planck, Fraunhofer, Leibniz and Helmholtz institutes next to the university. The Leopoldina, Germany's national academy of sciences, and the Federal Cultural Foundation are based in Halle as well, and the baroque Francke Foundations sit at the edge of the old town.
Halle Hauptbahnhof, east of the centre, was rebuilt as a rail hub, with the work completed in 2021. ICE trains between Berlin and Munich stop here, and so do services to Hamburg and to the Baltic coast. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day of meetings that takes in an institute on the Weinberg Campus, a lunch near the Marktplatz and an appointment in Leipzig, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Halle
Leipzig/Halle Airport serves both cities and lies between them, 28 km from Halle, 40–55 minutes by car. It handled about 2.1 million passengers in 2025; its top holiday destinations are Turkey, Spain, Greece and Egypt. Erfurt–Weimar Airport is 130 km to the south-west, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes, and Dresden Airport 150 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes; it has a single terminal, opened in 2001. The right one depends on your airline and route.
On the way to Leipzig/Halle the car runs mostly on the motorway, so rush-hour traffic on the A14 decides more than the kilometres.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Halle, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 40–55 minutes to Leipzig/Halle on an ordinary weekday. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Halle
Leipzig is 43 km east, 45 minutes to 1 hour, close enough to see people in both cities on one day; the Leipziger Messe has five halls. Jena, with its optics and university clinic, is 114 km south, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, and Weimar 138 km, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes; Classical Weimar, with 11 sites, is a UNESCO World Heritage ensemble. Dresden is 146 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes; the ICC Dresden holds up to 6,000 delegates, and Infineon opened its Smart Power Fab in the city on 2 July 2026.
For the capitals and the north, Berlin is 171 km, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes, and Hanover 234 km west, 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes; HANNOVER MESSE runs there from 5 to 8 April 2027. For a ministry appointment in Berlin or a client in Hanover, one booking covers the trip from your hotel in Halle, with the cases in the car and no change of train on the way.
When the day has appointments at both ends of the route, booking by the hour keeps the same car and chauffeur through it.

Groups & Event Travel in Halle
Halle is the city where George Frideric Handel was born, and its music calendar is built around him. The Händel-Festspiele, the Handel Festival, take place every June; in 2026 they ran from 5 to 14 June. A choir, an orchestra or a group of festival guests arriving over several days needs transfers that follow each flight and each concert evening.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the ensemble arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group that travels together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, instrument cases included.
Book early for June, and for March, the month of the Leipzig book fair. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
