Getting Around Bremen
Bremen Airport lies just south of the city centre. Next to the runway, on the old Focke-Wulf site, Airbus makes flaps and works on wings for the A350. If your visit is to the Airbus site, your destination is on the airport side of town.
In the old town, the Town Hall and the Roland statue on the Marktplatz have been UNESCO World Heritage since 2004. Close by, the Böttcherstraße was remodelled between 1923 and 1931, and the Schnoor, a small quarter of 17th- and 18th-century houses, has cafés and craft shops.
Behind the Hauptbahnhof lies the Bürgerweide, a large open square that hosts the Freimarkt every autumn. If you arrive at the Hauptbahnhof by train, add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If your day combines the airport area, the city centre on the Weser and an appointment in Bremerhaven down the river, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Bremen
Bremen Airport is 3 km from the centre, 10–15 minutes by car, so a morning flight does not mean an early start. Tram line 6 runs to the terminal every 10 minutes by day, but not at night. Hanover Airport is 115 km south-east, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, and Hamburg Airport 131 km north-east, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. Hamburg Airport has two terminals, T1 and T2, grouped around the Airport Plaza. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Bremen, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 10–15 minutes to Bremen Airport, or 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes to Hamburg Airport, more if the A1 is busy. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Bremen
Bremerhaven, Bremen's port city at the mouth of the Weser, is 65 km north, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Together the two ports are the second largest in Germany, after Hamburg, and in Bremerhaven the Havenwelten bring the Klimahaus and the German Emigration Center together. Hamburg is 121 km away, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, and Hanover 123 km, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
To the north-east, the A1 leads towards the Baltic coast: Travemünde, the ferry port, is 197 km, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes, and Warnemünde, Rostock's cruise port, 304 km, 3 hours 15 minutes to 4 hours 25 minutes.
To the south, the A1 leads to the Ruhr and the Rhineland: Dortmund is 233 km, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes, Essen 249 km, 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours 35 minutes, Düsseldorf 288 km, 3 hours 5 minutes to 4 hours 10 minutes, and Cologne 314 km, 3 hours 20 minutes to 4 hours 30 minutes. A day trip to a client there is long, but door to door it needs no change of train, and the return can be booked for the same evening.

Groups & Event Travel in Bremen
Bremen's great event is the Freimarkt, which traces its market rights back to 1035 and is held every autumn on the Bürgerweide behind the Hauptbahnhof. It lasts 17 days, draws about four million visitors and calls itself the largest fair in northern Germany. It is held in the second half of October. In those weeks the streets around the station can be crowded, and a group needs a plan for getting there and back.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the team arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group with one programme, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
For the second half of October, book well ahead. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early during the Freimarkt. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
