Getting Around Hanover
In Hanover, the trade fair grounds shape the business calendar. The city describes the Messegelände as one of the largest exhibition grounds in the world, with about 392,000 m² of hall space. The grounds lie on the southern edge of the city, 11 km from the centre, which is 25–35 minutes by car on a quiet day. On a fair morning the roads towards the halls fill up early, so a hotel near the Hauptbahnhof and a stand in the south hall area are further apart than the map suggests.
If you come by rail, the S5 line links the airport with the Hauptbahnhof around the clock, and long-distance trains arrive at the main station. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a fair day with a stand in the morning, a supplier meeting in the city and a customer visit in the afternoon, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Hanover lifted its low-emission zone in February 2024, so no sticker is needed to drive in the city. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Hanover
Hannover Airport is 14 km north-west of the centre, 30–40 minutes by car. From the airport to the exhibition grounds it is 25 km, also 30–40 minutes outside fair weeks. The airport has several terminals in a row, and its railway station sits between Terminals B and C; give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Bremen Airport is 124 km away, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, and Hamburg Airport 161 km, 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Hanover, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 30–40 minutes from the centre to the terminal on an ordinary day, more when a large fair closes and every exhibitor leaves at once. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Hanover
Hanover sits where the motorways from the Ruhr to Berlin and from Hamburg to the south cross, and that makes it a practical starting point. Hildesheim is 36 km away, 40–55 minutes; its cathedral and St Michael's Church have been UNESCO World Heritage since 1985. Braunschweig is 64 km, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, and home to the national metrology institute PTB and to research bodies such as the DLR.
To the north, Bremen is 125 km, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, with its Christmas market on the Marktplatz from 23 November to 23 December 2026, and Hamburg 152 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes; its harbour anniversary festival, the Hafengeburtstag, takes place from 6 to 9 May 2027. Berlin is 285 km east, 3 hours to 4 hours 5 minutes. An exhibitor who visits a customer in Hamburg the day after the fair travels from the hotel to the customer's address in one car, with the sample cases in the boot.
If the day has appointments in two cities, book by the hour rather than a single transfer, and share the plan for the day when you book.

Groups & Congress Travel in Hanover
The largest event at the grounds is HANNOVER MESSE, the industrial fair held every April; the 2027 edition runs from 5 to 8 April with around 3,000 exhibiting companies. In November the farming fairs follow: EuroTier, the livestock fair, in even years and Agritechnica, for agricultural machinery, from 14 to 20 November 2027. A stand team at one of these fairs needs transport for build-up, for every fair morning and for customers who fly in for a single day.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If colleagues land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a stand crew travelling together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
For April and November, book once your stand is confirmed. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in fair weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
