Hannover Airport to Hanover: Route and Drive Time
The airport sits in Langenhagen, on the northern edge of the city, and the centre is 14 km away by road. A car usually needs 30–40 minutes, and the hour matters more than the distance: the morning commute into town and the evenings of a fair week push the drive towards the upper figure.
Where you are staying decides the last part. A hotel near the Hauptbahnhof or the Kröpcke means a straight run into the middle of town. The exhibition grounds are another matter: they lie on the southern edge of the city, roughly 25 km from the terminals, and the car needs 30–40 minutes on a normal day because it crosses the whole city from north to south.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Put the terminal from your ticket and the full address in the booking, with the hall number if the car is going to the fair.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Hannover Airport
HAJ has four terminals, A, B, C and D, set out in a row, and the S5 railway station sits between B and C; from there the S5 reaches the Hauptbahnhof in about 17 minutes. Your ticket or airline app names the terminal, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules.
The airport holds an operating licence around the clock, with no night-flight restrictions, so a delayed evening flight may still land after midnight. A booked car takes that last part of the night off your hands: no timetable to check and no change at the Hauptbahnhof with suitcases.

Arriving at Your Address in Hanover
Since February 2024 Hanover has had no low-emission zone, so the car needs no sticker to drive into the centre. The addresses that need the most care are on the exhibition grounds, where a hall on the far side can be a long walk from the wrong gate, so name the hall and the gate as well as the street.
In the centre, the Hauptbahnhof is the obvious landmark: long-distance trains stop there, and the S5 runs from it to the airport. The Hannover Congress Centrum, at Theodor-Heuss-Platz 1–3 by the Stadtpark, has a Kuppelsaal with 3,642 seats; name the entrance there too. If your flight lands in the morning, a meeting at an office in town can come before the hotel check-in, and the car takes you there first.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

From Hanover Back to Hannover Airport
On the way out, count back from your flight using the drive itself: from the centre to the terminals it takes 30–40 minutes on an ordinary day. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.
Departures leave from the terminal your airline uses. The four buildings stand side by side, and the car pulls up at the one printed on your ticket. The S5 runs every 30 minutes, but a car goes from the hotel or hall gate directly to your terminal.
The tightest days are the closing days of a fair. When the Hannover Messe ends on 8 April 2027, exhibitors leave the grounds at the same time and the roads to the north fill up. If your stand team has an evening flight, the car can collect them at the hall gate rather than at the hotel.
