Getting Around Germering
Germering is a town on the western edge of Munich, 20 km from the city centre, 30–40 minutes by car on the A96. Two motorways, the A96 and the A99, meet nearby, which makes the town an easy starting point for both Munich and Augsburg; Augsburg is 62 km away, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.
The S8, the S-Bahn line between Herrsching and Munich Airport, calls twice in town, at Harthaus and at Germering-Unterpfaffenhofen. The Stadthalle, the town's venue for concerts, conferences and celebrations, is a two-minute walk from Unterpfaffenhofen station on Landsberger Straße. North of the centre, the Germeringer Norden business area covers about 15 hectares.
Germering has no ICE stop; long-distance trains stop at Munich Hauptbahnhof or Pasing. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day with a meeting in Germering, a visit to a plant in Augsburg and an appointment back in Munich, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Germering
Munich Airport is 47 km from Germering, 45 minutes to 1 hour on the A99 and A92, which run round the north of the city instead of through it. It handled 43.4 million passengers in 2025, and a new Terminal 1 pier for flights from outside the Schengen area opened in April 2026. Memmingen Airport is 98 km west on the A96, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Innsbruck Airport in Austria is 144 km south, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Innsbruck Airport lies about 4 km from the Tyrolean capital and is busier in winter, with ski charter flights. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Germering, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 45 minutes to 1 hour to Munich Airport when the A99 is moving, longer in the morning and evening peaks. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Germering
From Germering, the A96 leads west towards Lake Constance and the A95 south into the mountains. Lindau, on the island in the lake, is 167 km away, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes; a road bridge and a railway causeway link the island to the mainland, and the Nobel Laureate Meetings have been held there since 1951. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is 92 km, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, at the foot of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain at 2,962 m. A car from your front door to the hotel at the other end keeps skis and suitcases in one place.
Innsbruck is 146 km away, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, through Garmisch and over the border at Scharnitz. The trip is booked like any other, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders; a check on the way back from Tyrol can add time. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Event Travel in Germering
In Germering itself, the Stadthalle is the main venue: concerts, conferences and company celebrations, right next to the S-Bahn station. Larger events in the region take place at the Messe München in Riem, 46 km from Germering on the A99, 45 minutes to 1 hour. A guest list that mixes people from the airport, the station and nearby towns is easier to handle as a set of separate transfers.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests fly in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. If a party travels together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Plan ahead for September, when Munich's Oktoberfest takes place and, in 2027, IAA MOBILITY too. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
