Getting Around Erlangen
Erlangen is Siemens' largest site anywhere in the world. On the Siemens Campus Erlangen, a former research area rebuilt as a new urban district, around 16,000 people from the Nuremberg region work for the company; the last building, Module 8, opened in July 2026. Siemens Healthineers has its headquarters in Erlangen, and Siemens Mobility and parts of Digital Industries and Smart Infrastructure are based here too.
A visit to the campus can involve more than one building and more than one company. If your host has given you a module or gate, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
ICE trains call at Erlangen station on the high-speed line between Berlin and Munich. The fastest trains reach Munich in 1 hour 28 minutes and Berlin in just over three hours. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day of meetings at the campus and with a partner in Nuremberg, 19 km away, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Erlangen
Nuremberg Airport is 18 km south of Erlangen on the B4, 25–35 minutes by car, and it is the nearest airport; it handled about 4.5 million passengers in 2025, more than in 2018. Munich Airport is 182 km away, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes, and its Terminal 2 handles Lufthansa Group flights. Erfurt–Weimar Airport is 207 km north, 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours 10 minutes, with mostly holiday and charter flights. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Erlangen, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 25–35 minutes to Nuremberg Airport, and over two hours to Munich, so a car booked for an early Munich flight leaves Erlangen in the night. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Erlangen
Bamberg is only 44 km north on the A73, 45 minutes to 1 hour; its old town joined the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1993, and its station lies on the same ICE line 28 as Erlangen; Bamberg's Sandkerwa, a five-day kirmess, takes place each August. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is 77 km west, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, a town of about 11,300 people and one of only four in Germany with completely intact city walls. Munich is 190 km away, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes; the 18 halls of Messe München host IAA Mobility on 7–12 September 2027, and Oktoberfest 2027 from 18 September to 3 October. Weimar in Thuringia is 226 km, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes, and its Classical Weimar ensemble of 11 sites is also UNESCO World Heritage.
A car is worth it where the train is not direct, or when you carry equipment for a customer demonstration. Booked from the campus to your destination, the whole run is one journey with one vehicle, and nothing has to be carried across a station.

Groups & Congress Travel in Erlangen
If your group comes to Erlangen for a programme at the Siemens Campus or at Siemens Healthineers, such as a workshop, a customer day or a training week, the transfers start and end at the same few addresses. For trade fairs, the NürnbergMesse is 29 km away, 35–45 minutes, and its February fairs are next held in 2027. The city's own big event is the Bergkirchweih, a twelve-day beer festival held every year around Whitsun.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If participants arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group with one schedule, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, demonstration kit included.
If your dates fall in the Bergkirchweih or a Nuremberg fair week, book early. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early at those times. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
