Getting Around Furth
Furth (Fürth) is Nuremberg's direct neighbour to the west; the two city centres are 11 km apart by road, 25–35 minutes, and the U1 underground line links them. The U1 calls at Fürth Hauptbahnhof and at Fürth Stadthalle, a station opened in 1998 next to the city's main venue.
The Stadthalle Fürth hosts around 300 business and cultural events a year, from congresses to concerts, and has its own multi-storey car park within walking distance of the old town. Erlangen, with the Siemens campus, is 17 km north, 30–40 minutes.
In the first half of October the centre of town changes for twelve days, when the Michaelis-Kirchweih fills the old town and city centre with rides and market stalls. Addresses in that area may be harder to reach by car then: send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
For a day with a session at the Stadthalle, a meeting in Nuremberg and a visit in Erlangen, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

Airport Transfers in Furth
Nuremberg Airport is 13 km from Furth, 25–35 minutes by car, which is close enough for a morning flight without an early start; in 2025 the airport handled a record 4.5 million passengers. Munich Airport is 169 km south, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes, on the A73 and A9; flights of the Lufthansa Group flights use its Terminal 2. Erfurt–Weimar Airport is 220 km north, 2 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes, with mostly charter and holiday flights; the route follows the A73 and A71. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Furth, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 25–35 minutes to Nuremberg Airport on a normal day, longer in the rush hours. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Furth
West of Furth the B8 and the A7 lead into the Franconian countryside. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is 70 km away, 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes; it is one of only four German towns that still have their complete city walls. Bamberg is 58 km north on the A73, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes; its old town has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 1993, and the five-day Sandkerwa kirmess is held there every August.
For business further afield, Munich is 178 km south, 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes; Messe München has 18 halls, and IAA Mobility is held there from 7 to 12 September 2027. Frankfurt is 221 km on the A3, 2 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes. The Frankfurt Book Fair is held there every October, from 6 to 10 October in 2027, and the airport's long-distance station is next to Terminal 1. A car from your hotel in Furth to the office in Frankfurt avoids changing trains on the way, and the cases travel with you.
For a day that links two places, such as Rothenburg in the morning and Bamberg in the afternoon, book each leg as a transfer or reserve the day by the hour.

Groups & Congress Travel in Furth
A congress at the Stadthalle brings delegates from the airport, from the Hauptbahnhof and from hotels in Nuremberg at the same time. The NürnbergMesse is 18 km away, 30–40 minutes, with more than 170,000 m² of exhibition space and a convention centre for up to 12,800 participants, so a team working at the February fairs can just as well stay in Furth.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If speakers arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. If a group shares a timetable, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
The Kirchweih in October, with about 250 vendors on roughly 42,000 m², the Nuremberg fair weeks and Advent are the times to plan ahead. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
