Getting Around Augsburg
Augsburg lies in Bavarian Swabia, 66 km west of Munich on the A8. Its exhibition centre, the Messe Augsburg, lies south of the centre, 4 km from the Rathausplatz and 10–15 minutes by car. With 48,000 m² of indoor space in 12 halls and 16 conference rooms, it is the third-largest exhibition centre in Bavaria. Smaller congresses meet at the Kongress am Park, whose main hall has about 1,000 m².
Industry is another reason to come: KUKA, the robot maker, has its headquarters in Augsburg and has expanded the site with a new production hall, a training centre and an office tower.
Augsburg Hauptbahnhof is an ICE stop, a few minutes from the Kongress am Park. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If the Messe, a company visit and a lunch meeting near the Rathausplatz share one day, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Augsburg
Two airports are at almost the same distance. Munich Airport is 89 km east, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes via the A8, the A99 and the A92, with the wider choice of routes. Memmingen Airport is 92 km south-west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and it avoids the Munich ring roads. Stuttgart Airport is 149 km west, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. At Munich, Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance flights use Terminal 2; Condor, Eurowings, British Airways and Air France use Terminal 1. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Augsburg, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: on the way to Munich Airport, the A99 ring round the north of Munich is where the morning and evening peaks add the most time. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Augsburg
South of Augsburg the road climbs towards the Alps. Füssen, below Neuschwanstein Castle, is 107 km away, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes; Garmisch-Partenkirchen is 120 km, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. To the north, Ingolstadt is 77 km, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, and Munich 66 km, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Nuremberg is 147 km away, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes.
Innsbruck in Tyrol is 174 km away, 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes, for a meeting, a concert or the start of a ski week. The trip over the Austrian border is booked as one journey, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border. Salzburg, also in Austria, is 227 km away, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, the border with Austria included, and on busy days they can slow the return. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Augsburg
The Messe Augsburg runs trade and consumer fairs through the year; in January 2027, for example, the hunting and fishing fair Jagen und Fischen opens the season. The city's own big dates are the Herbstplärrer, the largest folk festival in Bavarian Swabia, from late August into September, and the Christkindlesmarkt on the Rathausplatz from late November to Christmas Eve, where angels appear in the town hall windows on Advent weekends.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If exhibitors arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own, from Munich or from Memmingen. For a group going to the halls together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Book fair weeks and Advent weekends well ahead. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in those weeks. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
