Getting Around Munich
Business appointments in Munich are spread across several districts. The old town around Marienplatz has the shops and many hotels, and its pedestrian zone along Kaufingerstraße and Neuhauser Straße runs from Marienplatz to Stachus. The Messe lies far to the east in Riem, 11 km from Marienplatz and 25–35 minutes by car. Its 18 halls hold about 200,000 m² of exhibition space, and the ICM congress centre on the same site takes events for up to 6,000 people.
The low-emission zone (Umweltzone) covers the Mittlerer Ring ring road and everything inside it. Only vehicles with a green sticker may drive there, and diesel cars of Euro 4 and below are also banned. If your hotel is in the pedestrian zone, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
Munich Hauptbahnhof is the city's main ICE station. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day split between an office near Marienplatz, a stand at the Messe and a supplier in the north of the city, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Munich
Munich Airport is 39 km north-east of the centre, 40–55 minutes by car on the A9 and A92. Its main building has two terminals joined by the Munich Airport Center. Terminal 2, opened in 2003 and built together with Lufthansa, is used mainly by the Lufthansa Group and its Star Alliance partners; Terminal 1 serves other airlines. Give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Memmingen Airport is 114 km west, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, and Salzburg Airport in Austria lies 137 km east, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Munich, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 40–55 minutes from Marienplatz on a normal day, longer at rush hour. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Munich
The mountains start about an hour south of the city. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is 90 km away, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and Füssen, the town below Neuschwanstein Castle, is 129 km, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. To the north, Nuremberg is 171 km up the A9, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes; the Spielwarenmesse toy fair is held there from 2 to 6 February 2027. If you go by car from the hotel straight to the address at the other end, your cases stay with you all the way.
Austria is within easy reach too. Salzburg is 145 km east, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, and Innsbruck is 144 km south, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Each of these runs is a single booking, with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, and the Austrian border is among them, so a check may slow the return leg. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Congress Travel in Munich
For group travel to Munich, plan around two calendars: the Messe and the Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest on the Theresienwiese runs from mid-September into the first days of October; in 2027 the dates are 18 September to 3 October. Just before it, from 7 to 12 September 2027, IAA MOBILITY brings the motor show to Munich. For an exhibitor, that means staff flying in over several days and a run out to Riem every morning.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If delegates come in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a team moving together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, crates of stand material included.
Book as soon as your fair or festival dates are fixed. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in September and around the large fairs. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
