Getting Around Wolfratshausen
Wolfratshausen is the old raftsmen's town of the Tölzer Land, south of Munich, just above the point where the Loisach flows into the Isar. For centuries timber and goods went downriver to Munich on rafts from here, until the railway arrived around 1889. Rafting (Flößerei) has been on Germany's national list of intangible cultural heritage since 2014. The old town lines a long market street, rebuilt after the Thirty Years' War.
Munich is 38 km north on the A95, 40–55 minutes. Starnberg, on the lake of the same name, is 25 km away, 35–45 minutes, and Bad Tölz 25 km, 30–40 minutes. Wolfratshausen station is the southern end of the S7 S-Bahn line from Munich; long-distance trains do not run here. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day that combines a meeting in Munich with a visit to Starnberg or Bad Tölz, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Wolfratshausen
Munich Airport is 84 km away, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, because the route goes round Munich on the A99. Innsbruck Airport in Austria is 113 km south, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, through Garmisch-Partenkirchen; for a winter holiday in Tyrol or a route Innsbruck serves, it can be the easier option; the airport is only about 4 km from the city centre and busier in winter with ski charters. Memmingen is 129 km west, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Wolfratshausen, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes to Munich Airport, more when the ring motorway is busy. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Wolfratshausen
From here the A95 leads straight into the mountains. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is 60 km, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, below the Zugspitze, at 2,962 m Germany's highest mountain; Füssen and Neuschwanstein are 90 km west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes; and Lindau on Lake Constance is 198 km, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes; the town stands on an island linked by a road bridge and a railway causeway.
Innsbruck is 115 km, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes, via Garmisch and the Scharnitz crossing. The INTERALPIN trade fair takes place at Messe Innsbruck from 20 to 23 April 2027. A ski week or a meeting in Tyrol is booked as a single journey: the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Germany has notified the European Commission of temporary checks at its internal land borders, which includes the crossing into Tyrol; a check may hold you up on the drive home. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Event Travel in Wolfratshausen
Wolfratshausen's own season is the Isar raft trip. From early May to mid-September, rafts with music and food carry groups about 28–30 km down the river from Wolfratshausen to Munich-Thalkirchen; operators sell whole rafts as well as single seats. A company outing on a raft starts in one town and ends in another, so the group needs a ride to the landing stage in the morning and a ride back from Thalkirchen in the afternoon.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests come in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group on one timetable, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Raft-trip weekends and the Oktoberfest weeks in Munich are busy dates. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on those dates. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
