Getting Around Pavia
Pavia lies on the A7 Milan–Genoa motorway, south of Milan, 42 km away by road. Visits here are often to the Policlinico San Matteo, the research hospital linked to the University of Pavia, on Viale Camillo Golgi, or to university departments. If your appointment is at the hospital, give the building or pavilion when you book, not just the hospital name.
Pavia station is served by Trenitalia regional, Intercity and EuroCity trains and by the Trenord S13 suburban line, about 30 minutes from Milano Centrale. From the station the Policlinico is about ten minutes on foot. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The Certosa di Pavia is about 10 km north. For a day of appointments, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
The historic centre is a ZTL, and electronic gates read number plates at its entry points. Send the full address with your booking; we will then let you know the closest point a car can reach.

Airport Transfers in Pavia
Pavia has no airport of its own, so flights come in at Milan. Linate is the nearest, 42 km away, about 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes by car. Malpensa is 88 km, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Milan Bergamo 90 km, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. The airport you land at depends on the airline and route you book.
Malpensa and Bergamo are reached by the motorways around Milan, the A50 and the A58, so the hour you travel, the traffic and the weather all shape the drive.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Pavia, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes to Linate, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes to Malpensa, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes to Bergamo, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Pavia
From Pavia the motorways fan out to the south and west. Piacenza is 53 km away, Alessandria 70 km, Genoa 124 km on the A7, Turin 155 km and Bologna 202 km on the A1. If an appointment in Pavia is followed by meetings in Turin or a departure from the port of Genoa, the car goes from your Pavia address to the next one in one booking.
The drive to Genoa is 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, Turin 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes and Bologna 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes.
Piacenza, 53 km south-east on the A21, and Alessandria, 70 km south-west, are close enough for a meeting and the drive back on the same day: 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes to Piacenza and 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes to Alessandria. Reserve it as a Round-Trip: the return to Pavia is fixed from the start, so both runs sit on one reservation.

Groups & Congress Travel in Pavia
Groups flying to Pavia land at Milan and cover the last 42 to 90 km by road. When, for example, a medical or academic delegation lands at Linate and Malpensa on the same day, each airport run is set up on its own and the group meets in Pavia.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when colleagues arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Reserve group dates well ahead: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
