Getting Around Genoa
Genoa's main business addresses face the sea. The trade-fair area, the Waterfront di Levante, sits on the water about 1 km on foot from Genova Brignole station. The cruise terminal, the Stazione Marittima, is on Ponte dei Mille, near the Porto Antico. If your programme includes both, plan the day as one booking. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
The city has two main stations, Genova Principe and Genova Brignole, and buses link the airport with Principe. Check which station is on your ticket: for the fair, Brignole is the closer one. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The historic centre is a ZTL that applies 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with electronically controlled gates. Send the full address with your booking; we will then let you know the closest point a car can reach.

Airport Transfers in Genoa
Genoa Airport is 9 km from the centre, usually 20–25 minutes by car, and it is the airport to aim for when your airline flies there. The alternatives are much further away. Milan Malpensa is 186 km north on the A7 and the A4, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours, and Nice Côte d'Azur is 204 km west on the A10 and A8, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 25 minutes. Whether either makes sense is a question of your airline's network; the car goes to whichever one you fly into.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Genoa, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 20–25 minutes to Genoa Airport, 2 hours 15 minutes to 3 hours to Malpensa, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Genoa
Milan is 140 km from Genoa on the A7, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, and Turin 170 km. Monterosso al Mare, in the Cinque Terre, is 88 km east. When a cruise ends in Genoa and your next meetings are in Milan, one booking covers the drive from the quayside to the Milan hotel.
To the west, Monaco is 180 km away and Nice 194 km, both on the A10 and the A8. The route passes into France, and you travel with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
France has notified the European Commission of checks at its internal borders, the Italian border included. Carry the travel documents your nationality and itinerary require.

Groups & Cruise Travel in Genoa
Genoa is Italy's third cruise port, with about 1.7 million cruise passengers expected in 2026. If, for example, your group embarks at Ponte dei Mille, send the ship's name and departure date with the booking. The Salone Nautico, the Genoa boat show at the Waterfront di Levante, brings a second peak: in 2025 it drew 124,248 visitors, with more than 1,000 boats on show.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when guests fly in on different days, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Book the boat-show week early, in September or October depending on the year, and the cruise days too: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
