Getting Around Milan
Business in Milan is spread over three very different areas: the hotels near Milano Centrale, the Fiera Milano exhibition halls out in Rho, and the Allianz MiCo congress centre in CityLife. For a day of meetings, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Fiera Milano hosts large exhibitions in Rho, with 20 exhibition halls outside the city, while Allianz MiCo is a congress venue within the city, with 65 rooms and space for up to 18,000 people. Your schedule depends on which venues you need to reach.
If the trip starts by rail, the train is likely to arrive at Milano Centrale, served by Frecciarossa and Italo from Turin, Bologna and Rome, or at Milano Porta Garibaldi, where some high-speed services stop. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The centre inside the Cerchia dei Bastioni is Area C, a congestion-charge zone with camera-monitored access points. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Milan
Linate is the closest of Milan's three airports, 7 km from the centre, usually 15–20 minutes by car. Malpensa is 53 km out on the A8 and SS336, and Milan Bergamo 59 km east on the A4; allow 50 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes for either. Which airport you use depends on your airline and route, so check the ticket: the car is booked to the airport you land at.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Milan, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 15–20 minutes to Linate, 50 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes to Malpensa or Bergamo, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Milan
A week in Milan often continues in another city. Genoa is 144 km away, Turin 145 km, Verona 156 km on the A4, Bologna 212 km on the A1 and Venice 266 km. When meetings in Rho are followed by a client visit elsewhere, the car goes from your Milan hotel to the next address in one booking.
Switzerland is close. Lugano is 79 km from the centre, St. Moritz 169 km by the road over the Maloja Pass and Zurich 282 km. Geneva, 319 km away, is reached through the Mont Blanc tunnel via France. On each of these routes you get the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.
Switzerland is outside the EU customs union, so customs rules apply at the Swiss border; take the travel documents required for your nationality and route.

Groups & Congress Travel in Milan
Milan's fair calendar brings large groups to the city. When, for example, Salone del Mobile fills the Rho halls in April, more than 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries take part.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when a team arrives on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Book early for April, when Salone del Mobile is on, and for September, with the MICAM footwear fair at Rho: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
