Linate to Milan: Route and Drive Time
Linate is Milan's city airport. It lies on the eastern edge of the city, 7 km from the centre, and the drive to the Duomo usually takes 15–20 minutes. There is no motorway stretch to speak of: the car leaves the airport and comes in through the eastern districts on city roads.
On a run this short, the clock is set by the city, not by the distance. The morning rush on the eastern approaches and the last streets before your address decide most of the time. An address east of the centre is the quickest; CityLife and the west side are across town, about 13 km from the terminal, 25–35 minutes. The Fiera Milano halls in Rho, north-west of the city, are 21 km away, usually 30–40 minutes.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With the flight number, give the full street address, not just "Milan": across a city this size, the district changes the drive.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Linate
Linate has one terminal. Baggage reclaim and the small arrivals area are on the ground floor, so every passenger comes out in the same place. For a manager on a morning flight from Rome with only cabin baggage, that means a short walk from the aircraft to the car.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. If the flight from Rome is held on the ground, the pickup follows it, and the meeting in the centre is still only 15–20 minutes from the terminal.
Linate mainly handles flights within Italy and to European destinations. Rome Fiumicino has for years been one of its busiest routes, and many people on these flights are in Milan for the day.

Arriving at Your Address in Milan
Most short visits from Linate end at an office or a hotel in the centre. Area C, a charge zone with camera gates on its entry roads, covers the area within the Cerchia dei Bastioni, and beyond it a low emission zone, Area B, takes in almost the whole comune. For an address inside the ring, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
If Milan is one stop on a longer trip, the station can be the destination. Milano Centrale has Frecciarossa and Italo trains to Turin, Bologna and Rome, and some high-speed services use Porta Garibaldi instead, so check which station your ticket names. A morning landing at Linate and an early afternoon train fit easily into one day.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a congress at Allianz MiCo, which seats up to 18,000, give the entrance named in your invitation.

From Milan Back to Linate
Leaving Milan, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 15–20 minutes from the centre to Linate, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Linate has only one terminal, so no terminal name is needed: give the flight number and the car goes to departures. From CityLife or Rho the run is longer, 25–35 minutes and 30–40 minutes, and the evening peak on the way east adds to it.
On a day trip, the office or the fair hall can be the pickup instead of the hotel. A meeting that ends in the late afternoon and a flight back to Rome in the evening fit into one booking from the meeting address to the terminal.
