Getting Around Monza

Monza is a separate city 21 km north of central Milan, and many visits here centre on the Autodromo Nazionale, the circuit inside the Parco di Monza on the north side of town. From the town centre the circuit is about 6 km by road, and the park has several entrances, including Porta Vedano, Porta Santa Maria alle Selve, Porta Biassono and Porta Villasanta. Name the entrance on your ticket or programme when you book.

Monza station, on Via Caduti del Lavoro, is served by the S8, S9 and S11 suburban lines. If you arrive on a high-speed train at Milano Centrale instead, the car can collect you there for the 21 km run north. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

For a day of meetings between Monza and Milan, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

The historic centre is a ZTL in three areas, each entered only through its own camera-monitored gates. Send the full address with your booking; we will then let you know the closest point a car can reach.

Airport Transfers in Monza

Linate is the nearest airport, 18 km from central Monza, usually 25–35 minutes by car. Because Monza lies north-east of Milan, Milan Bergamo Airport is closer than Malpensa: 45 km on the A4, about 45 minutes to 1 hour, against 57 km to Malpensa on the A4, A8 and SS336, about 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. The choice between the three follows your airline and route.

The runs to Bergamo and Malpensa share the A4 with commuter traffic around Milan. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.

For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Monza, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 25–35 minutes to Linate, 45 minutes to 1 hour to Bergamo, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes to Malpensa, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Cross-Border Travel from Monza

From Monza the A4 runs both ways across the north. Brescia is 89 km east, Turin 150 km west and Verona 153 km east. When a race weekend is followed by meetings in Turin, one booking takes you from the Monza hotel straight to your Turin address. Turin and Verona each take 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes.

Bergamo, 43 km east, and Brescia sit on the same motorway and suit a visit out and back in a day: 45 minutes to 1 hour to Bergamo, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes to Brescia. A Round-Trip reservation suits a meeting in Bergamo or Brescia, as the drive back to Monza is set from the start.

Lugano is 73 km north on the A9 and the Swiss A2, across the border at Chiasso, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes away. The trip runs with the same chauffeur and car from start to finish, with no change of vehicle at the border.

Switzerland is outside the EU customs union, so customs rules apply at the Swiss border; take the travel documents required for your nationality and route.

Groups & Congress Travel in Monza

Groups in Monza often come for the circuit. When, for example, the Italian Grand Prix is held at the Autodromo in September, a group's programme can link hotels, park entrances and the Milan airports within the same few days. Give the park entrance for each group when you book.

When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when guests land at Linate, Bergamo and Malpensa on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.

Book early for September and the Grand Prix weekend: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.

Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service puts the outward and return journeys in one booking: Linate, 18 km away, to your Monza hotel and back, or a day on Lake Como, 38 km north, with the return already in place. It matters most in September, the month of the Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo, when local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. You set both pickup times yourself, and the confirmation lists them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service is booked by time, not by route. Name the address in Monza where the day starts, the address where it finishes and how many hours you want, and one chauffeur and one car are reserved for you for that time. Share the plan for the day when you book, and the chauffeur will have it in advance. It suits a day of meetings or visits rather than one ride across town.
One-Way Service
One-Way Service takes you from one address to another in a single journey: Linate to a hotel in Monza, Milano Centrale to Monza after a high-speed train, or your hotel to a park entrance of the Autodromo on a race day. For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure, you set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I book a transfer from Linate to Monza?

Book a one-way transfer from Linate, the nearest airport, 18 km from central Monza and usually 25–35 minutes by car. Your chauffeur keeps an eye on the flight, and a late landing simply moves the pickup later. If your ticket is for Milan Bergamo, 45 km, or Malpensa, 57 km, the car is booked there instead.

How do I get to Linate Airport from Monza?

By car, 18 km, usually 25–35 minutes, longer in heavy traffic. The car collects you at your Monza hotel, or at the circuit on a race weekend, and takes you to departures. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Is there a train from Milan to Monza?

Yes, Monza has its own station, on Via Caduti del Lavoro, served by the S8, S9 and S11 suburban lines. By road Monza is 21 km north of central Milan, usually 30–40 minutes, and after a high-speed train to Milano Centrale the car can meet you there. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.

When is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, and when should I book?

In September, at the Autodromo inside the Parco di Monza. Book that month early: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. For a group, give the park entrance for each part of the group, and every arrival gets a transfer of its own.

Where is the Monza race track, and how do I get there on race day?

Inside the Parco di Monza, about 6 km by road from the town centre. The park has several entrances, including Porta Vedano, Porta Santa Maria alle Selve, Porta Biassono and Porta Villasanta, and the car goes to the one on your ticket. Name the entrance when you book.

What do you need to know about Monza in 2026–2027?

The points to plan around: the Italian Grand Prix is held at the Autodromo in September, Linate is the nearest airport at 18 km, and the historic centre is a ZTL in three areas. One project arrives later than first planned: the rail link to Milan Bergamo Airport, 45 km from Monza, is now due in 2028, so it plays no part in arrivals in 2026 or 2027.
