Airport Transfers from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Monza

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Terminal 1 to a hotel in central Monza, Terminal 2 to the Porta Vedano entrance of the park, or an office near Monza station to Malpensa for an evening flight. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Malpensa to Monza when you arrive, and Monza back to your Malpensa terminal after the event. For the Grand Prix weekend in September, reserve the Monday return together with the arrival, since the whole paddock leaves in the same days. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at MXP, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Malpensa to Monza: Route and Drive Time

Monza is 57 km from Malpensa. The car takes the SS336 to the A8, then turns east onto the A4 above Milan and leaves it for Monza, so the route passes the northern edge of the city rather than its centre. The drive usually takes 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.

The A4 between the A8 junction and Monza is the stretch that sets the time. It carries the traffic that crosses the north of Milan in both directions, and on weekday mornings it moves slowly. Central Monza and the station come first; the Autodromo lies further north inside the park, about 6 km beyond the centre.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With your flight number, say whether you are going to the town or to the circuit, and for the circuit, which park entrance.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Malpensa

For a trip to Monza, the terminal matters before anything else. Malpensa's Terminal 1 receives long-haul flights and nearly all airlines; Terminal 2 is used only by easyJet. The two lie 4 km apart and each has its own arrivals hall, so a team split across two flights may come out in two buildings.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. An engineer whose connection is late still finds the car tied to the flight that actually lands.

Until about 2028 Terminal 1 has works on its non-Schengen wing, with some corridors closed off. Arrivals at both terminals continue as usual.

Arriving at Your Address in Monza

Monza is a city of its own, 21 km north of central Milan. Its old centre is split into three limited-traffic areas behind camera-watched gates, so hotels in the old streets need the exact address. The S8, S9 and S11 suburban lines call at the town's station on Via Caduti del Lavoro.

The Autodromo Nazionale sits inside the Parco di Monza, and the park is entered through several gates, among them Porta Vedano, Porta Biassono, Porta Villasanta and Porta Santa Maria alle Selve. Team passes and hospitality tickets usually name the gate; give that gate as the destination rather than the circuit.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. On race weekends, expect access to the park to follow the event's own traffic plan.

From Monza Back to Malpensa

Leaving Monza, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes to Malpensa, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

After a race weekend the roads around the park and the A4 carry the crowd leaving at once. If your flight is on the Sunday evening, book the pickup from your hotel rather than from the circuit, and name the terminal: 1 for long-haul and most airlines, 2 for easyJet.

If the trip continues to Milan or the lake before you fly, the next leg is short: Milan is 21 km and Como 38 km from Monza. Each can be a separate transfer, with the drive to Malpensa booked from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Malpensa to Monza?

Monza is 57 km from Malpensa. The car uses the SS336, the A8 and the A4 around the north of Milan, which normally means 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes at the wheel; weekday mornings on the A4 are the slow period.

Can you take us from Malpensa straight to the Monza circuit?

Yes. The Autodromo is inside the Parco di Monza, 61 km from Malpensa by road. Give the park entrance shown on your pass, such as Porta Vedano or Porta Biassono, as the destination.

Our team lands at both Malpensa terminals. How does that work?

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are 4 km apart with separate arrivals halls, so each flight is booked as its own transfer. If you book for others, the whole programme can sit in one account, and each transfer is booked and confirmed separately.

Is Linate or Bergamo closer to Monza than Malpensa?

Yes, both. Linate is 18 km from Monza and Milan Bergamo 45 km, against 57 km for Malpensa. Malpensa makes sense when your flight, often a long-haul one, lands there.

Can the car reach my hotel in the centre of Monza?

Monza's old centre has three limited-traffic areas behind camera gates. Send the hotel address with the booking, and we confirm whether the car can reach the entrance or where the nearest drop-off point is.

When should we book for the Italian Grand Prix?

As soon as the travel dates are fixed. The race is held at Monza in September, and local vehicles and drivers are committed well ahead for that week, both for arrivals and for the Sunday and Monday departures.
