Getting Around Parma
Business in Parma is closely tied to food. Fiere di Parma hosts Cibus, the agri-food fair, and Cibus Tec, the food-technology fair, so a trip here can mean a hotel in the centre, days at the fair halls and visits to producers in the surrounding province. If your schedule mixes the fair with company visits, plan the days by address rather than by distance.
Parma station is north of the historic centre, on the line between Bologna and Milan. Frecciarossa and Italo high-speed trains stop at Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana, 36 km from Parma, usually 40–55 minutes by car. Check which station your ticket names. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a day of meetings in Reggio Emilia, 38 km away, or Modena, 62 km, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Parma
For flights, trips to Parma use one of three larger airports. Bologna Airport is 95 km away on the A1, about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes by car. Milan Linate is 125 km on the A1, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, and Milan Bergamo 168 km, 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 35 minutes, via the A1, the A58 and the A4. The choice depends on your airline and route: book the car to the airport on your ticket.
On all three routes the A1 carries most of the drive, and the Milan approaches add time at busy hours. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Parma, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to Linate, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes to Bologna, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Parma
From Parma the A1 runs to Milan, 125 km away, and to Bologna, 100 km, while the A15 crosses the Apennines towards the Ligurian coast. Genoa is 202 km away on the A15 and the A12, and Florence 190 km on the A1. By car, Milan takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, Florence 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes and Genoa 2 hours 35 minutes to 3 hours 30 minutes.
When a fair week in Parma ends with a visit to a client in Genoa or Florence, one booking takes you from your Parma hotel straight to that address, with the same chauffeur for the whole journey.
Cremona, 75 km to the north on the A1 and the A21, takes 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, and Piacenza, 66 km on the A1, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. For a client meeting in either and dinner back in Parma, book a Round-Trip with the return set from the start.
For a long-haul flight from Milan Malpensa, the car drives from Parma to the terminal: 179 km on the A1, the A50 and the A4, 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. Give the flight when you book.

Groups & Congress Travel in Parma
The food fairs bring groups of buyers and exhibitors to Parma. When, for example, Cibus was held in 2024, it counted over 75,000 attendees, 3,000 brands and 3,000 buyers. The next Cibus is scheduled for May 2027, and Cibus Tec for October 2026.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when buyers land at Bologna, Linate and Bergamo on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Book early for the fair months, May in the years Cibus is held and October for Cibus Tec: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
