Airport Transfers from Milan Linate Airport (LIN) to Parma

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Linate to a hotel near Piazza Garibaldi, the terminal straight to your hall at the fairground, or a food producer in the province back to Linate for an evening flight. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Linate to Parma when you land, and back up the A1 to the terminal for the flight home. In the fair months, October for Cibus Tec and May in the years Cibus is held, reserve both runs at once, since buyers and exhibitors book the same days. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at LIN, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Linate to Parma: Route and Drive Time

Parma is 125 km south-east of Linate, and the drive usually takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. From the airport the car joins the A1, the Autostrada del Sole, almost at once, and follows it past Lodi and Piacenza to the Parma exit.

Linate is on the south-east edge of Milan and close to the A1, so there is no drive across town first, and most of the drive is steady A1. What varies is the start, around the Milan junctions at rush hour, and heavy lorry traffic on the A1 on weekdays.

The Fiere di Parma halls are close to the motorway exit, on the north side of the city, about 122 km from the terminal; the old centre is a few kilometres further. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Tell us with the flight number whether you are going to the fair or the hotel.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Linate

Linate works with one terminal and one small arrivals area on the ground floor, after baggage reclaim. Every airline uses that exit, so for a food buyer coming from Paris, Frankfurt or Amsterdam the start of the long run south stays simple.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. With up to two hours of road ahead, that keeps a delayed flight from turning into a second problem at the airport.

Linate is Milan's city airport, with a network of Italian and European routes. For Parma it is not the nearest airport, but it is the one to use when your direct flight lands there rather than at Bologna.

Arriving at the Fair or Your Hotel in Parma

Coming down the A1 from Milan, the car leaves the motorway on the north side of Parma, where the exhibition grounds are. Fiere di Parma is the venue for Cibus, the agri-food fair, and Cibus Tec, its food-technology counterpart, so on a fair day the entrance to your hall is the natural first address.

Hotels in the old centre are a few kilometres further south, beyond the railway station on the Bologna–Milan line. For a hotel in the old streets, give the full address; where the car can set you down depends on the street.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. If a later day includes visits to producers in the province, book those runs separately from your hotel.

From Parma Back to Linate

Leaving Parma, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to Linate, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

There is only one terminal at Linate, so the flight number is all the booking needs. The last part of the drive, around the Milan junctions, is where the time is lost, especially in the late afternoon; when a fair closes, the exhibitors all head for their flights together.

If you fly out of Bologna instead, the airport is 95 km from Parma, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. A trip that ends with a night in Milan can end at your Milan hotel, 125 km from Parma.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Linate Airport to Parma?

Parma is 125 km from Linate on the A1 motorway. The drive usually takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, and it does not cross central Milan.

Is Linate or Bologna better for Parma?

Bologna is closer: 95 km against 125 km. Go with the airport your airline uses; Linate is the one when it serves Linate and not Bologna.

Can the car take us straight to Fiere di Parma?

Yes. The fair halls are near the A1 exit, on the north side of the city, about 122 km from Linate. Give the fair entrance and the name of the event as the destination.

Where do I meet my chauffeur at Linate?

There is one terminal at Linate, and passengers from every flight leave through one small ground-floor arrivals area. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet your chauffeur.

When are the next food fairs in Parma?

Cibus Tec is scheduled for October 2026, and the next Cibus for May 2027. Local vehicles and drivers are committed well ahead in those weeks, so book the transfers as soon as your dates are fixed.

Our buyers land at Linate from different countries. How do we book?

Book a separate transfer for each arrival, with the vehicle matched to that flight's passengers and sample cases. If you book for others, the whole programme can sit in one account, and each transfer is booked and confirmed separately.
