Getting Around Walthamstow
Walthamstow is the largest town of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, in north-east London. Its High Street holds Walthamstow Market, more than half a mile of stalls and one of the longest outdoor street markets in Europe. In Lloyd Park, the house where William Morris grew up is now the William Morris Gallery, and the older streets of Walthamstow Village keep their almshouses and church. In 2019 Waltham Forest was the first London Borough of Culture.
Walthamstow Central is the northern end of the Victoria line and has Overground trains to Liverpool Street; it is in Travelcard Zone 3. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. On market days, Tuesday to Saturday, the High Street is given over to stalls. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
For a day that takes in the Gallery, a lunch in the Village and a meeting in Stratford, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Walthamstow
London City Airport is 11 miles from Walthamstow, 35–50 minutes, south through Leyton to the Royal Docks. Stansted Airport is 29 miles, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, by the North Circular and the M11. Heathrow is also 29 miles but 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, since that drive heads west across the city. Luton Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Stansted is in the middle of a terminal extension, and its single terminal handled 29.76 million passengers in 2025.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Walthamstow, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Heathrow and Stansted Airport are the same distance away, yet the drive west takes up to half an hour longer. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Walthamstow
Leyton, home of Leyton Orient, is 1 mile south, 10–15 minutes. Stratford, with Westfield and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, is 4 miles, 25–35 minutes. Central London is 9 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
Cambridge is 51 miles up the M11, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Portsmouth, for the Historic Dockyard and ferries across the Channel, is 96 miles, 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours, all the way round the M25.
If the day ends back in E17, book by the hour and the chauffeur stays with the car for the whole trip. If you are catching a ferry at Portsmouth, take a one-way ride to the terminal and book the journey home on its own.

Groups & Event Travel in Walthamstow
Walthamstow Wetlands, opened in 2017 on the working reservoirs of the Lee Valley, is Europe's largest urban wetland nature reserve, 2 miles from the town centre, 15–20 minutes. A birdwatching club or a school party visiting it may arrive from several directions.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If visitors land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group moving between the Wetlands, the William Morris Gallery and lunch, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, including telescopes and tripods.
For a coach, give a meeting point on a side road rather than the market street. Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around bank holiday weekends. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
