Getting Around Tower Hamlets
Tower Hamlets lies east of the City of London along the north bank of the Thames. It contains Canary Wharf, the financial district on the Isle of Dogs, the Tower of London on its western edge and Whitechapel, home of the Royal London Hospital. Spitalfields, Wapping, Limehouse, Poplar and Bow complete the map.
Most of the borough is outside the Congestion Charge zone; only fringe streets west of Commercial Street fall inside it. Canary Wharf and Whitechapel both have Elizabeth line stations, and the DLR links the Isle of Dogs with Bow and Stratford. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a tower on the Canary Wharf estate or a ward entrance at the Royal London Hospital, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day that moves between a bank on the Isle of Dogs, lunch in Spitalfields and a visit in Whitechapel fits an hourly reservation: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Tower Hamlets
London City Airport is 4 miles away, 25–35 minutes, across the River Lea in the Royal Docks. Stansted Airport is 36 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Southend Airport 37 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Heathrow is 22 miles west, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes; with its Terminals 2 and 3 rail station shut since 25 June 2026, Elizabeth line riders change at Terminal 4 or 5. Gatwick is 48 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Tower Hamlets, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: leaving Canary Wharf at the end of the working day, the westbound drive can sit at the top of its range. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Districts of Tower Hamlets
The borough mixes towers, docks and old East End streets. Canary Wharf, about 2 miles south-east of its centre point, 15–20 minutes, is the business district, with its banks and shopping malls around the old West India Docks. About 2 miles west, 15–20 minutes, the Tower of London stands by Tower Bridge on the borough's edge.
Whitechapel, between them and the City, has the Royal London Hospital and the Whitechapel Gallery; Spitalfields, to its north, has its covered market. Bow, 2 miles, 15–20 minutes, lies in the north-east between Victoria Park and the River Lea.
Across the borough boundaries, Stratford is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Hackney 3 miles, 20–30 minutes. Greenwich, on the south bank, is 4 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Islington 4 miles, 30–40 minutes.

Groups & Congress Travel in Tower Hamlets
Canary Wharf brings visiting teams to the borough's banks and offices, and the Tower of London draws school parties and tour groups. The London Marathon is held on two days in 2027, 24 and 25 April, and its usual course loops around the Isle of Dogs.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a visiting team lands on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a group going from a hotel at Canary Wharf to an off-site dinner, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around the marathon and before Christmas. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
