Getting Around Surrey
Surrey is the county south-west of London, reaching from the Thames at Staines-upon-Thames to the Sussex border near Gatwick, with the North Downs and the Surrey Hills across the middle. Guildford is the county town, while Surrey County Council works from Woodhatch Place in Reigate. The M25 crosses the county from Junction 6 near Godstone to Junction 13 at Staines, and the M3, the M23 and the A3 lead out towards Southampton, Brighton and Portsmouth. Heathrow lies just north of the county boundary and Gatwick just south of it, in West Sussex.
Most Surrey towns have direct trains to London Waterloo, and Redhill and Dorking also have services to Victoria. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Many addresses lie on private estates or country lanes outside the towns. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day of site visits between Woking, Guildford and an office park near the M25 can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Surrey
Distances here are measured from the county town. Heathrow is 26 miles, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes by car, and Gatwick 35 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. Southampton Airport, to the south-west, is 48 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. Luton Airport is 55 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and City Airport 61 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. From Reigate or Redhill, Gatwick is the closer airport; from Staines-upon-Thames, Heathrow is next door. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Terminal 4 has also lost its multi-storey car park, shut on 23 June 2026, so give your terminal in the booking and the car goes there.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Surrey, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: most routes to Heathrow and Gatwick use the M25, and a lane closure there changes the whole trip. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Towns of Surrey
Guildford, the county town, has the cathedral on Stag Hill, the University of Surrey and the Surrey Research Park. Woking is 7 miles north, 25–35 minutes, with the McLaren Technology Centre and fast trains to Waterloo. Cobham, 11 miles, 25–35 minutes, is home to Chelsea's training ground, close to RHS Garden Wisley. Epsom, 19 miles, 40–55 minutes, is the Derby town, with its racecourse up on Epsom Downs.
Reigate, about 24 miles east, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, holds the county council's headquarters; its neighbour Redhill has East Surrey Hospital and a rail junction. Dorking, about 13 miles, 35–50 minutes, sits below Box Hill, and Leatherhead at Junction 9 of the M25. Farnham, about 11 miles west, 30–40 minutes, has its castle and the University for the Creative Arts. Staines-upon-Thames, about 21 miles north, 40–55 minutes, leads a group of Thames towns with Chertsey and Weybridge, and Caterham sits on the Downs above Croydon.
Farnborough, home of the airshow, is 13 miles away, 30–40 minutes, just over the border in Hampshire.

Groups, Events & Racing in Surrey
Surrey has four racecourses: Epsom Downs, Sandown Park at Esher, Kempton Park at Sunbury-on-Thames and Lingfield Park. Derby day 2027 falls on 5 June at Epsom, the day after the Oaks, and Royal Ascot follows from 15 to 19 June just over the Berkshire border. Brooklands Museum at Weybridge and RHS Garden Wisley draw clubs and societies through the year.
For a racing party or a company outing, when you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If guests come from abroad on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. On the day itself, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for Derby day and Royal Ascot week. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
