Getting Around Southwark
Southwark runs south from the Thames, opposite the City of London. Its riverside north holds London Bridge station, The Shard, Borough Market, Tate Modern and Guy's Hospital; further south lie Peckham, Camberwell and Dulwich, mostly residential.
The Congestion Charge applies in Bankside, Borough and London Bridge, which lie north of New Kent Road and Tower Bridge Road; Peckham, Camberwell, Dulwich and the south of the borough lie beyond it. London Bridge is one of the capital's main-line termini, with Thameslink and Southeastern trains and the Jubilee and Northern lines. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For an address near Borough Market or on the riverside walk at Bankside, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. A morning of meetings at London Bridge and an afternoon at Tate Modern fit one booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Southwark
London City Airport is 8 miles from Southwark, 40–55 minutes by car. Gatwick is 29 miles south, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and has North and South terminals, so name yours when you book. Heathrow is 21 miles west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Luton Airport is 38 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes, and Stansted Airport 41 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Southwark, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: if you set off for Heathrow in the evening peak, expect the top of the range. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Districts of Southwark
Southwark changes character from north to south. Bankside and Borough, by the river, are its visitor quarter, with Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and Borough Market. London Bridge, beside them, is the office district around The Shard and Guy's Hospital.
Peckham, 1 mile from the borough's southern centre, 10–15 minutes, is known for Rye Lane and the studios of Peckham Levels. Camberwell, 2 miles, 15–20 minutes, is home to King's College Hospital and Camberwell College of Arts. Dulwich, in the south, has Dulwich Picture Gallery and Dulwich Park; Bermondsey and Rotherhithe line the river east of Tower Bridge.
Brixton, in Lambeth, is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes. Forest Hill, with the Horniman Museum, is 2 miles, 15–20 minutes, in the borough of Lewisham. Brighton, on the Sussex coast, is 51 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes.

Groups & Event Travel in Southwark
The London Marathon runs over two days in 2027, on 24 and 25 April, and on its usual course runners cross Tower Bridge, on Southwark's riverside. Groups also come for the Globe's summer season, for Tate Modern and for conferences in the offices around London Bridge.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If runners or delegates land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a school party heading to the Globe or a team going to an off-site meeting, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around the marathon weekend and the Christmas season. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
