Getting Around Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks, the main town of Sevenoaks District, lies in west Kent. It lies outside Greater London, just south of Junction 5 of the M25, where the M26 branches off towards the M20. Knole, the National Trust house with its deer park, adjoins the town centre, and Sevenoaks School, an independent school, is also in the town.
From Sevenoaks station, services run to Charing Cross and Cannon Street in London, and Thameslink trains also call. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a house on the edge of Knole Park or in one of the villages around the town, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
Winston Churchill's country house, Chartwell, lies west of Sevenoaks towards Westerham: about 7 miles by road, 25–35 minutes. A day with a meeting in Sevenoaks and an afternoon at Chartwell suits a booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Sevenoaks
Gatwick is the quickest airport from Sevenoaks: 28 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. Some 42.8 million people passed through its North and South Terminals in 2025. London City Airport is 27 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, as the route crosses south-east London. London Southend Airport is 42 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes; it became an easyJet base in March 2025. Heathrow is 51 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Stansted Airport 54 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, both by the M25. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For a family flying back after the school holidays, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Sevenoaks, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Heathrow and Stansted take almost the same time from Junction 5, so give either one the same margin. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Sevenoaks
Tonbridge, with its castle above the Medway, is 9 miles south, 25–35 minutes. Orpington, the Bromley town just inside the capital's boundary, is 10 miles north, 30–40 minutes. Central London is 29 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, a drive that is longer in time than in distance because the final stretch runs through the city.
Canterbury and its cathedral are 45 miles east, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. For a full day on the Churchill theme, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, where he was born, is 95 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes, a natural follow-up to a morning at Chartwell.
Coming back the same day? An hourly reservation means one chauffeur for the outward drive and the drive home. Staying over? Reserve one way, and arrange the return trip later as its own booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Sevenoaks
Sevenoaks School takes boarding pupils as well as day pupils. If several boarders fly in at the start of term, or parents come over from abroad for a school event, each journey can be planned around a flight.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If pupils or parents land on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a school team or a history society visiting Knole and Chartwell on the same day, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, from kit bags to school trunks.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early at the start and end of each school term. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
