Getting Around Peckham
Peckham belongs to the London Borough of Southwark and lies south-east of the centre. Rye Lane, its main shopping street, runs from Peckham High Street down to Peckham Rye station, and the area is known for its arts scene: Peckham Levels has turned a multi-storey car park into studios, workspaces and food stalls. To the south lies Peckham Rye, a common and park. Camberwell is 1 mile west, 10–15 minutes.
Peckham Rye station, in Travelcard Zone 2, is served by the London Overground Windrush line and by Southern, Southeastern and Thameslink trains; Queens Road Peckham is a second station on the Overground. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Southwark Council is rebuilding the square in front of Peckham Rye station, with completion planned for autumn 2026, and the old arcade route from Rye Lane to the platforms is closed while the works continue. For an address on Rye Lane or next to the station, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. Studio visits in Peckham followed by meetings in the City fit one booking by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Peckham
London City Airport is the nearest airport to Peckham: 8 miles, 40–55 minutes. Heathrow is 20 miles west, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Gatwick 29 miles south, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. Luton Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, and Stansted Airport 41 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. City Airport, in the Royal Docks, handled 3.74 million passengers in 2025. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Peckham, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the route to Heathrow crosses the whole width of south London, and the figures above describe an ordinary day. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Peckham
Two short trips sit on either side of Peckham. Greenwich, home of the Prime Meridian and the old tea clipper, is 3 miles east, 20–30 minutes; Brixton, with its market and the O2 Academy, is 3 miles west, 20–30 minutes. Further west, Hampton Court Palace is 15 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes; its Tudor kitchens and famous maze fill an afternoon.
The coast is within a morning's drive. Brighton is 52 miles south, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. Canterbury, with its cathedral, is 57 miles east, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes.
Reserved by the hour, one car covers a day in Canterbury and the drive back to Peckham in the evening. A one-way booking ends at your address on the coast; for the way back, make a second booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Peckham
If a film crew or a design studio comes to Peckham for a shoot or an opening, the equipment travels with the people. For a crew of ten with camera cases and lights, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; list the cases in the booking so the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If artists or guests land for an exhibition on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own, whether they come into City Airport or Heathrow.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around the Christmas season and the London Marathon weekend of 24 and 25 April 2027. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
