Getting Around Newham
Newham is the east London borough that holds the Royal Docks, London City Airport, ExCeL London and most of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Its two main town centres are Stratford in the north-west and East Ham in the east, where Newham's town hall stands. The whole borough lies outside the Congestion Charge zone.
The Elizabeth line crosses the borough, calling at Stratford and at Custom House, the station for ExCeL, and the DLR runs through the Royal Docks to the airport. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a hall entrance at ExCeL or an apartment in a new block by the docks, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day of stand building at ExCeL and a client dinner in Stratford can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Newham
London City Airport is inside the borough, 3 miles from its middle, 20–30 minutes by car. It has one terminal and handled 3.74 million passengers in 2025. Stansted Airport is 32 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes, and Southend Airport 35 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Heathrow is 26 miles west, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, and Luton Airport 46 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Newham, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the westbound run to Heathrow can take four times as long as the hop to the Royal Docks terminal. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Districts of Newham
Newham's districts serve quite different trips. Stratford, 3 miles from central Newham, 20–30 minutes, is the commercial centre: Westfield Stratford City, the stadium of West Ham United and the East Bank museums and theatres in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. East Ham, 2 miles, 15–20 minutes, is the civic heart, with the town hall on High Street North and the markets of Green Street to its west.
The Royal Docks, in the south, combine the airport, the exhibition halls and new housing along the water. By car, ExCeL is about 3 miles away, 20–30 minutes. Canning Town, Beckton and Plaistow fill the rest of the map.
Just beyond the borough, Barking is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Ilford 4 miles, 20–30 minutes. Chelmsford, 27 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, is the Essex county town.

Groups & Congress Travel in Newham
ExCeL London, by Royal Victoria Dock, is the largest exhibition centre in the capital. Its calendar includes the London Book Fair, 16–18 March 2027, and the DSEI defence and security show, 7–10 September 2027, where about 45,000 attendees are expected.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If an exhibitor's staff come in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a stand crew with display boards and sample cases, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in the weeks of the large ExCeL shows and on West Ham match days. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
