Getting Around Middlesex
Middlesex is a historic county, not a council area. It covered the land north and west of the City of London until 1965, when most of it became part of Greater London; Staines-upon-Thames and Sunbury-on-Thames, in Spelthorne, moved to Surrey, and Potters Bar to Hertfordshire. The name lives on in Middlesex County Cricket Club at Lord's, in Middlesex University at Hendon and in postal addresses. Heathrow, Twickenham Stadium and Wembley all lie within the old county.
The Metropolitan line runs out through Harrow-on-the-Hill to Uxbridge, the Piccadilly line serves Hounslow on its way to Heathrow, and the Elizabeth line reaches the airport through Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day that links Brunel University in Uxbridge, an office in Ealing and a visit in Harrow can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Middlesex
Heathrow stands inside historic Middlesex, and Hounslow, Feltham and Hayes sit right beside it. Measured from the Harrow side of the county, Heathrow is 11 miles, 35–50 minutes by car. Luton Airport is 25 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. City Airport is 27 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Stansted Airport is 45 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Gatwick is 52 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Heathrow served 84.5 million passengers in 2025 through Terminals 2 to 5. Trains no longer call at its Terminals 2 and 3 station, shut since 25 June 2026. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Middlesex, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the A40, the M4 and the A4 carry the traffic towards Heathrow, and weekday peaks slow all three. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Towns of Middlesex
In the north-west, Harrow keeps its hilltop school and church. Wembley is 5 miles away, 20–30 minutes, with the national stadium. Edgware, 5 miles, 20–30 minutes, is the end of the Northern line on the old Roman road. Ruislip is 4 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Uxbridge, about 9 miles, 30–40 minutes, is the seat of Hillingdon council and the home of Brunel University London.
To the west, Ealing, about 7 miles, 25–35 minutes, is the borough town known since 1902 as the Queen of the Suburbs. Greenford is 3 miles, 15–20 minutes, and Southall and Hayes lie along the Uxbridge Road and the Grand Union Canal towards Heathrow.
In the south-west, Hounslow, about 11 miles, 40–55 minutes, and Feltham border the airport. Twickenham, about 13 miles, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, is the home of England Rugby. In the north-east, Enfield, about 17 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, Edmonton and Tottenham were Middlesex towns too. Staines-upon-Thames and Sunbury-on-Thames now belong to Surrey.

Groups & Event Travel in Middlesex
Three national sports grounds stand in the old county. Wembley Stadium is the home of English football; Twickenham Stadium, called Allianz Stadium under a naming deal, holds 82,000 for England Rugby; and Lord's, home of Middlesex County Cricket Club, stages a Test against Bangladesh from 28 May 2027.
For a rugby club on tour or a corporate party at a cup final, when you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If supporters land at Heathrow on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For the match day, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on big match days at Wembley and Twickenham. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
