Getting Around Lambeth
The London Borough of Lambeth runs south from the Thames, opposite Westminster, to Norwood. At its northern end stand Waterloo station, the South Bank with the London Eye, the Southbank Centre and the National Theatre, and St Thomas' Hospital, facing the Houses of Parliament across the river. Lambeth Palace, the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, is by Lambeth Bridge. Further south come Kennington, with The Oval, then Vauxhall, Stockwell, Brixton, Clapham and Streatham.
The Congestion Charge zone takes in Waterloo and the South Bank, north of Kennington Lane, but no other part of Lambeth. Waterloo is the London terminus of South Western Railway, with trains from Surrey and Hampshire, and the Victoria line ends at Brixton. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
Parts of the riverside are open to pedestrians only, so for an address on the South Bank, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. A day that starts with a meeting near Waterloo, goes on to an appointment at St Thomas' and ends at the National Theatre can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Lambeth
Heathrow is 19 miles west of Lambeth, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes by car. Gatwick is 28 miles south, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, down the A23 through Brixton and Streatham; with its North and South Terminals it served 42.8 million passengers in 2025. City Airport is 11 miles east, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. Across London to the north, Luton Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, and Stansted Airport 40 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Lambeth, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: from Waterloo the route to Heathrow first has to cross the river, and weekday rush hours lengthen every drive out of the centre. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Districts of Lambeth
Lambeth changes a great deal from north to south. Brixton, at its centre, has Lambeth Town Hall, the market arcades and the O2 Academy. Clapham, 1 mile west, 10–15 minutes, is built around Clapham Common, which Lambeth shares with Wandsworth. Norwood, 2 miles, 20–30 minutes, here means West Norwood, with its Victorian cemetery and a street market on the first Sunday of the month.
North of Brixton, Kennington is the home of The Oval, the ground of Surrey County Cricket Club, and Vauxhall sits at the southern end of Vauxhall Bridge. Waterloo and the South Bank bring the theatres, concert halls and the riverside walk. Stockwell and Streatham complete the borough.
Next door, Southwark is 3 miles, 20–30 minutes, for London Bridge and Bankside. For the racing on the Downs, Epsom is 12 miles south, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.

Groups & Event Travel in Lambeth
The Oval hosts two of the largest cricket matches of 2027: the World Test Championship Final from 9 to 13 June and the fifth Ashes Test against Australia from 29 July to 2 August. The South Bank's concert halls and the National Theatre bring touring companies and their audiences.
For a supporters' party flying in from Australia or a delegation staying near Waterloo, when you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If they reach London on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For the days they travel as one party, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around the Test weeks at The Oval. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
