Getting Around Hornchurch
Hornchurch, a suburban town of the borough of Havering, sits between Romford and Upminster; before 1965 the town belonged to Essex. The Queen's Theatre on Billet Lane produces its own plays and a pantomime each winter. South of the town, the airfield of RAF Hornchurch, a fighter station in the Battle of Britain that closed in 1962, has become Hornchurch Country Park along the Ingrebourne valley.
Three District line stations serve the area: Elm Park, Hornchurch and Upminster Bridge, with Hornchurch itself in Travelcard Zone 6. Emerson Park, on the north side, is on the Overground shuttle between Romford and Upminster. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a house in Emerson Park or a family home near the country park, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day with an appointment in Romford, a walk in the country park and an evening performance at the Queen's Theatre is easiest to book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Hornchurch
Southend Airport is 24 miles east, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, and since March 2025 it has been an easyJet base. London City Airport is 12 miles west, 40–55 minutes. Stansted Airport is 32 miles north, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes, by the M25 and the M11. Heathrow is 37 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Luton Airport 49 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. On your return flight, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Hornchurch, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: Southend Airport is the quickest run, while Heathrow means driving most of the way round the M25. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Hornchurch
Romford is the nearest big town centre, 4 miles, 15–20 minutes. Grays, on the Thames in Thurrock, is 10 miles, 35–50 minutes. Chelmsford, with its cathedral and the county offices, is 19 miles, 40–55 minutes.
South of the river, Canterbury is 54 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, by the Dartford Crossing and the M2. Southampton, where many cruises start, is 114 miles, 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes.
Spending a day at Canterbury Cathedral and returning in the evening? An hourly booking covers the outing, with one car there and back. A cruise from Southampton needs only a one-way transfer to the terminal; the journey home after the voyage is booked on its own.

Groups & Event Travel in Hornchurch
The Queen's Theatre pantomime draws school parties, clubs and family outings from across Havering every Christmas. This season's show, Robin Hood, runs from 18 November 2026 to 2 January 2027. For a class or a care-home outing to a matinee, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; mention wheelchairs and walking frames so the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If relatives fly in for the holidays on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in December, when panto performances and Christmas parties overlap. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
