Getting Around Hillingdon
Hillingdon is London's westernmost borough and the second largest by area, and Heathrow Airport lies inside it. The council works from the Civic Centre in Uxbridge, the borough's main town. In the north the borough reaches Ruislip and its woods; in the south, Hayes and West Drayton sit along the airport's northern side.
Hillingdon is far from the Congestion Charge zone. The A40 crosses the north of the borough towards central London and the M40, and the M4 spur leads to the terminals in the south. The Elizabeth line calls at Hayes & Harlington and West Drayton, and the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines end at Uxbridge. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a unit at Stockley Park or a house on an estate road in Ruislip, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. For a day that takes in Stockley Park, the Brunel campus and the council offices, reserve the car by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Hillingdon
Heathrow is 6 miles from the middle of Hillingdon, 20–30 minutes by car. It handled 84.5 million passengers in 2025 across Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Luton Airport is 31 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes, and London City Airport 34 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Gatwick is 48 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Stansted Airport 61 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Hillingdon, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the main airport is next door, so plan the pick-up around your airline's bag-drop deadline. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Districts of Hillingdon
Hillingdon is a borough of separate towns, each with its own pull. Uxbridge, 3 miles from the middle of the borough, 10–15 minutes, is the administrative centre and the home of Brunel University London. Cowley, 3 miles, 15–20 minutes, lies just south of it beside the Grand Union Canal. Ruislip, 3 miles, 15–20 minutes, is the green north of the borough, with the Lido and Ruislip Woods.
Hayes, 4 miles, 15–20 minutes, grew around the old EMI works, now The Old Vinyl Factory, and counts the airport as its biggest employer. West Drayton, 4 miles, 20–30 minutes, borders Heathrow and Stockley Park, the business park off the A408. Northwood, Harefield and Ickenham complete the north of the borough.
For a short trip out, Windsor is 12 miles, 30–40 minutes.

Groups & Event Travel in Hillingdon
With Heathrow in the borough, a group's trip to Hillingdon can begin right at the terminal. A project team heading for Stockley Park, a delegation visiting Brunel University London or relatives meeting for a family celebration in Ruislip may all land within a few hours of each other.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the group arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own, and each confirmation goes to the traveller. For a team moving together from a hotel to the office, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in the school summer holidays and at the start of the university year. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
