Getting Around Hayes
Hayes belongs to the London Borough of Hillingdon and to the historic county of Middlesex, and lies just north of Heathrow. The airport is the largest single employer in the town, and the Grand Union Canal flows through the town centre. The A312, known as The Parkway, runs through Hayes and carries much of its through traffic.
For decades Hayes was the home of EMI. The Beatles' albums were made at its factory, and the site lives on today as The Old Vinyl Factory. The Beck Theatre, open since 1977, brings touring shows to the town.
Hayes & Harlington station serves both Elizabeth line and Great Western Main Line trains, at the junction where the Heathrow branch leaves the main line. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a house near the canal or an office on the factory site, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
A day of appointments near the airport, with a meeting in Uxbridge in the afternoon, can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Hayes
Few places in London sit closer to Heathrow: it is 4 miles south of Hayes, 20–30 minutes by car. In 2025 the airport handled 84.5 million passengers across Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. Luton Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes, and London City Airport 34 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. Gatwick is 48 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes; Stansted Airport is 67 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Hayes, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: even a short run to the terminals can reach half an hour, so build that into an early check-in. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Hayes
Two royal sites lie within an hour. Windsor, with its castle, is 10 miles west, 30–40 minutes. Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII's palace by the Thames, is 10 miles to the south-east, 40–55 minutes. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, where the Harry Potter sets are on show, is 22 miles north, 40–55 minutes.
Further out, Oxford and its university colleges are 50 miles away, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. Brighton, on the south coast, is 69 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes, which makes a full day by the sea.
For an out-and-back day, an hourly booking keeps the same car with you from the first address to the last. With a one-way booking you are dropped at the address you choose, and the way home is reserved on its own.

Groups & Event Travel in Hayes
Suppose a project team of fifteen lands at Heathrow for a week of work at an office near the airport: a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, with room for tool cases and sample boxes.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If the team comes in on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. An evening at the Beck Theatre for guests staying near the airport works the same way, with the return set for the end of the show.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in the school summer holidays, when Heathrow is at its fullest. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
