Getting Around Finchley
Finchley lies 7 miles north of Charing Cross and is a large district of the London Borough of Barnet. It has three town centres: Church End around Finchley Central and Ballards Lane, East Finchley, and North Finchley around Tally Ho Corner. At Henlys Corner, on its southern edge, the A406 North Circular and the A1 meet and briefly merge.
Five stations on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line serve the district, from East Finchley in zone 3 to Finchley Central, West Finchley and Woodside Park in zone 4. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The artsdepot arts centre opened at Tally Ho Corner in 2004, about 1 mile from Church End, 10–15 minutes by car. The new Finchley Memorial Hospital on Granville Road opened in 2012. For an appointment there or a house on a side road off Ballards Lane, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
An afternoon of viewings or school visits across Finchley's three centres can be booked by the hour; one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Finchley
Measured in miles, City Airport comes first: 19 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes on the road. The Royal Docks airport carried 3.74 million passengers in 2025, mostly on short routes to Europe and around the UK. Heathrow is 20 miles, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, and Luton Airport is 28 miles, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes. Stansted Airport is 37 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, and Gatwick 45 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Finchley, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: most routes leave through Henlys Corner, where the North Circular and the A1 share the road for a short stretch. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Groups & Event Travel in Finchley
The artsdepot stages theatre, dance and family shows, and Stephens House and Gardens, left to the public in 1918, is used for gatherings in its grounds. For a touring company or a family party heading to either, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, including costume boxes.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If cast members fly into London on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early in the run-up to Christmas and during school holidays. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
