Getting Around Dorking
Dorking is a market town in Mole Valley, Surrey, set where the A24 from London meets the A25 running along the foot of the North Downs. Box Hill rises just north-east of the town; its zig-zag road was part of the cycling road races at the London 2012 Olympics. Denbies Wine Estate covers the slope on the other side of the A24.
The town has three stations. Dorking station has trains to London Waterloo and London Victoria; Dorking Deepdene, a short walk away, is on the North Downs line between Guildford and Redhill, and Dorking West is on the same line. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If your address is in the old centre around West Street, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go.
A day with a tour of Denbies, a meeting in Leatherhead and dinner in Guildford fits an hourly booking: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Dorking
Gatwick is 14 miles east of Dorking, 40–55 minutes by car. Heathrow is 31 miles north-west, 55 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, reached by the A24 and the M25 from Junction 9. London City Airport is 47 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Luton Airport is 59 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Southend Airport is 62 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes. Gatwick's Northern Runway was approved in September 2025, and in August 2026 the Court of Appeal refused the last challenge; no construction start date has been announced. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Dorking, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the A25 to Gatwick runs through Reigate, and the A24 to the motorway passes Leatherhead, so check the hour before you choose the pick-up. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Dorking
Guildford, with its cathedral and castle, is 14 miles west, 40–55 minutes. Hampton Court Palace is 15 miles north, 40–55 minutes too.
Windsor and its castle are 29 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. Goodwood, in West Sussex, is 41 miles south-west, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Oxford, for a day among the colleges, is 73 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes.
When the plan is there and back in a day, an hourly booking keeps the same chauffeur with you until you are home. With a one-way trip you arrive at the address you name, and you book the return on its own.

Groups & Event Travel in Dorking
Denbies, one of England's largest vineyards, welcomes visitors on the edge of town, and a team outing there needs transport both ways. For a party of fourteen from a London office, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, and nobody in the group has to drive home.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If overseas guests arrive on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for summer weekends and the Christmas party season. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
