Getting Around Catford
Catford is the civic centre of the London Borough of Lewisham. The council works from Laurence House and the Civic Suite on Catford Road, and the Broadway Theatre, an art deco building from the 1930s, stands at the heart of the town. Lewisham town centre is 1 mile north, 10–15 minutes.
Two stations sit side by side: Catford, on the Thameslink line through Blackfriars, and Catford Bridge, with Southeastern trains to London Bridge and Charing Cross. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
The South Circular (A205) runs through the middle of Catford and meets the A21 here in a one-way gyratory. For an address on the gyratory or in one of the side streets, send the full address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. If you have meetings at the council and then elsewhere in south London, book by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Catford
From Catford, London City Airport is 9 miles, 35–50 minutes, through the Blackwall or Silvertown tunnel. Gatwick is the nearest of the big airports to the south: 28 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Heathrow is 26 miles west, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours, Southend Airport 40 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, and Stansted Airport 42 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes to 2 hours. Heathrow carried 84.5 million passengers in 2025 through Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. When the plane is due, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts; collections take place from the terminal car parks. For a departure from Catford, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: the westbound South Circular passes many junctions and crossings, so leave room before a Heathrow flight. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Catford
The South Circular leads west to the Surrey race towns and the Thames valley. Epsom, home of the Derby, is 18 miles, 1 hour to 1 hour 25 minutes. Windsor, with its castle, is 30 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes.
Eastwards, Whitstable on the north Kent coast, known for its oysters and harbour, is 54 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. For motor-racing fans, Silverstone, where the British Grand Prix is raced, is 95 miles, 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes, which makes a long but manageable day.
Windsor there and back in a day? Reserve hourly, and one car and chauffeur cover the whole outing. A one-way booking to Silverstone or the coast finishes where you ask, and the journey back needs its own booking.

Groups & Event Travel in Catford
A race day is one occasion for a Catford group to travel together. The 2027 Epsom Derby is run on Saturday 5 June, with the Oaks the day before, and a party going to the Downs from Catford has the whole South Circular to cross. For an office outing or a family group of that kind, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; hampers and picnic boxes count as luggage, so list them and the vehicle is matched to the load.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If friends fly in from abroad for the race on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early for Derby week and for the British Grand Prix weekend. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
