Getting Around Siena
Siena station lies below the old town, about 20 minutes on foot from the centre, and escalators climb from it to Porta Camollia. Trains reach it on the regional line from Florence via Empoli. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For an evening outside the city, Greve in Chianti is 41 km away and Montalcino 43 km, and either works as a return trip within one evening. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Inside the walls, the whole centre is a limited-traffic zone (ZTL) with camera-controlled gates. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers to Siena
Florence Airport is the closer of the two: 83 km, usually 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes by car on the RA 3 Siena–Florence road and the A1. Pisa Airport is 119 km away, 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes by the SR429, the RA 3 and the Fi-Pi-Li. Pisa has the wider route network, with 78 destinations in summer 2025 against 40 at Florence, so it can be the better choice when it gives you a direct flight. The car is booked to whichever airport you land at.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Siena, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes to Florence Airport, 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes to Pisa, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Siena
Rail links from Siena are regional, and the line to Florence runs through Empoli, so the next part of a trip usually goes by road. Florence is 76 km away, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes on the RA 3. Pisa is 122 km, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes, and Rome 234 km, 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours 45 minutes on the A1.
If a week in the Sienese hills ends with a few days in Florence or Rome, one booking covers the drive from Siena to your hotel in the city, and the suitcases never change cars.
Arezzo, 67 km to the east, is close enough for a day there and back: 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes each way. For a meeting or a visit, a Round-Trip booking fixes the return to Siena at the start.
When the flight home leaves from Rome, the car can drive you from Siena straight to Fiumicino: 259 km, 2 hours 50 minutes to 3 hours 50 minutes, with your flight number in the booking.

Groups, Luggage & Event Travel in Siena
When you book for a group, list the bags as well as the people: the vehicle is chosen to fit the load. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats. If guests come in on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation.
The Palio is raced in Piazza del Campo in July and again in August, and each race comes with four days of events. On race days the centre is pedestrianised: put the hotel address in the booking, and support will let you know the closest spot a car can reach on those days.
Book early for July and August: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
