Getting Around Pisa
In Pisa the airport is part of the city. It sits about 1 km from the urban area, with direct access to the Florence–Pisa–Livorno road, the A12, the A11 and the SS1 Aurelia. For you this means a short first leg: from the arrivals hall a car can be on the road to Lucca, Livorno, Florence or the Versilia coast within minutes.
The PisaMover shuttle train links the airport with Pisa Centrale station in about 5 minutes, running every 5–8 minutes. If you arrive by train at Pisa Centrale, add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
From Pisa, Lucca is 19 km away, Livorno 26 km and Forte dei Marmi 45 km. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
Pisa's historic centre is a ZTL with electronic gates, managed for the comune by Pisamo. Send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.

Airport Transfers in Pisa
Pisa Airport is 4 km from the centre of Pisa, usually 10–15 minutes by car. It is the Tuscan airport with more routes: in summer 2025 it served 78 destinations, against 40 at Florence. Florence Airport is 93 km away on the A11, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes by car, and is the alternative when your flight uses it.
The drive into Pisa is short; longer transfers from the airport run on the A11 towards Florence and Lucca and on the A12 along the coast. Journey times depend on traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Pisa, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 10–15 minutes to Pisa Airport, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes to Florence Airport, more when traffic is heavy. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Pisa
From Pisa, a trip across Tuscany or up the coast is one drive. Florence is 99 km away on the A11, Volterra 96 km, Siena 125 km and Genoa 166 km on the A12. When a few days in Pisa are followed by a stay in Siena, the car takes you from one hotel to the next in one booking.
On the road, count on 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes for Florence, 2 hours 5 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes for Siena and 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes for Genoa.
Volterra works as a day out and back: 96 km inland by the A12 and the SS68, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours each way. A Round-Trip reservation covers both drives, and the hour you want to head back to Pisa goes into that same booking.
For the Cinque Terre, 112 km up the A12 and 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes away, plan the last part on foot: Monterosso al Mare is closed to traffic, and cars go no further than the Fegina car park, where the SP38 leads. As a Round-Trip, the car leaves you there in the morning and collects you at the same point at the time you fixed.

Groups & Congress Travel in Pisa
When a group programme in Tuscany starts at Pisa Airport, coaches in the city follow a fixed routine: a tourist coach entering Pisa must collect an access permit at the checkpoint in the Via Pietrasantina coach park, run by Pisamo. Send the addresses when you book: support replies with the closest spot where a coach may set down and collect the group.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when guests land at Pisa on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load.
Reserve group dates well ahead: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
