Getting Around Livorno
If you sail from or arrive in Livorno, the pickup point depends on the port. The cruise terminal of Porto di Livorno 2000, on Piazzale dei Marmi, is about 2.4 km from Piazza Grande, usually 10–15 minutes by car, and ships berth at several quays, from Molo Italia and Molo Mediceo to Calata Sgarallino and the Alto Fondale. Give the ship's name and, if you know it, the quay when you book: the meeting point depends on where the ship is berthed and follows the port's own rules, and the confirmation tells you where to meet the chauffeur.
Livorno Centrale station, on Piazza Dante, is also about 2.4 km from Piazza Grande. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
If you stay in Livorno for a night or two, Pisa is 27 km away for an evening out. For a working day of meetings, booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Livorno
Pisa Airport is the one to use for Livorno when your airline allows it: 25 km on the A12, usually 35–45 minutes by car, straight to the cruise terminal or your hotel. Florence Airport is 114 km away on the A11 and A12, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. The car goes to whichever airport is on your ticket.
For a cruise, the time that matters is the ship's check-in, not the landing. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Livorno, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 35–45 minutes from the port or the centre to Pisa Airport, 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes to Florence Airport, and more when traffic is heavy. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Livorno
A cruise that ends in Livorno can continue by road. Florence is 120 km away, Siena 133 km, Genoa 179 km on the A12 and Rome 337 km along the coast on the SS1 and the A12. When you step off the ship and want a few days in Florence, the car goes from the quay to your hotel in Florence in one booking, with the luggage loaded once.
From the port, allow 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours for Florence and 2 hours 10 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes for Siena or Genoa.
If you stay on in Livorno for a night or two, Volterra, 89 km inland on the SS68, fits a day out: 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes each way, and one Round-Trip reservation also holds the drive back to your Livorno hotel, at the hour you pick. The Bolgheri wine area is closer, 68 km south on the A12.
If the flight home leaves from Rome Fiumicino, 322 km away, plan on 3 hours 55 minutes to 5 hours 15 minutes: the car drives from the quay straight to the departures terminal, and the flight number goes in the booking.

Groups & Cruise Travel in Livorno
Livorno is a busy cruise port: in 2024 it handled about 864,000 cruise passengers on 356 ship calls. When, for example, several ships are in port on the same day, shore groups, crew changes and departing passengers all need transport at the same time. When you book, name the ship and the date, and say how many guests are travelling.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when guests fly into Pisa and Florence on different flights before embarkation, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Book early for May and October, the months with the most ship calls on the port schedule: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
