Getting Around Florence
Florence's fair and congress venues are grouped together on the edge of the historic centre. The Fortezza da Basso, the Palazzo dei Congressi and the Palazzo degli Affari stand next to each other, and together Firenze Fiera offers 65,000 m² of indoor space and 208 halls and rooms. If your programme is at one of these venues, a hotel near the station keeps most of your days within walking distance.
Santa Maria Novella, the main station, is about 0.5 km from the Firenze Fiera venues. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
A working day can go beyond the venues: a showroom visit, lunch outside the city, dinner in Greve in Chianti, 30 km south, or Prato, 23 km. Booked by the hour, one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.
The historic centre, the UNESCO area, is a ZTL with camera-controlled gates. Send the full address with your booking; we will then let you know the closest point a car can reach.

Airport Transfers in Florence
Florence Airport is 10 km from the centre, usually 20–25 minutes by car. Pisa Airport, 84 km away on the Florence–Pisa–Livorno road, and Bologna Airport, 103 km over the Apennines on the A1, each take 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Pisa has more destinations than Florence in summer, so if your flight lands there, the car is booked to Pisa and brings you on to Florence.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Florence, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 20–25 minutes to Florence Airport, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes to Pisa or Bologna, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Florence
A stay in Florence can continue elsewhere in Tuscany or beyond. Siena is 78 km away on the RA 3, Pisa 100 km, Bologna 105 km, Forte dei Marmi 109 km and Rome 276 km on the A1. Allow 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to Bologna and 3 hours 5 minutes to 4 hours 10 minutes to Rome. If Rome is the last stop, one booking covers the drive from your Florence hotel to your Rome hotel. For a flight from Rome Fiumicino, the car goes straight to the terminal, 302 km, 3 hours 10 minutes to 4 hours 15 minutes, and the flight number goes into the booking.
Lucca, 78 km on the A11, takes 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes: a meeting there can go on one Round-Trip booking, with both pickup times chosen when you reserve.
The Cinque Terre are 176 km away, 2 hours 25 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes. Cars cannot enter Monterosso al Mare; they stop at the Fegina car park, reached by the SP38 on the last stretch. For a cruise, the port of Livorno is 93 km from the centre, usually 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Groups & Congress Travel in Florence
The fashion calendar brings large groups to Florence. When, for example, Pitti Uomo filled the Fortezza da Basso in June 2025, about 1,200 brands and 30,000 visitors took part. The Fortezza can seat up to 2,200 people in a plenary hall.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when buyers arrive through Florence and Pisa on different flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; we choose the vehicle to fit the passengers and the luggage.
Book early for January and June, the Pitti Uomo months, when Pitti Bimbo and Pitti Filati also run in January: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
