Getting Around Thurrock
Thurrock is an Essex unitary authority on the Thames, just east of Greater London. Grays is its main town, and Tilbury, Purfleet, West Thurrock and Stanford-le-Hope share the riverside with two large ports, the Port of Tilbury and DP World London Gateway, and with the Essex end of the Dartford Crossing.
The A13 runs across the borough from east to west and meets the M25 at junction 30. c2c trains call at Grays and Tilbury Town on the way to London Fenchurch Street. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival.
For a warehouse at London Gateway, a cruise berth or a shop entrance at Lakeside, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop. A day of site visits at both ports and a meeting in Grays fits one hourly reservation: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Thurrock
Southend Airport is 17 miles from the middle of Thurrock, 40–55 minutes by car; the drive to London City Airport is 19 miles, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes. Stansted Airport is 38 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, Gatwick 47 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, and Luton Airport 56 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. For an arrival, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Thurrock, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: an early flight needs extra time if the route uses the A13 or the M25 during the morning rush. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Towns of Thurrock
Thurrock's towns each have their own business. Grays, 6 miles from central Thurrock, 15–20 minutes, is the main town and shopping street. Lakeside Shopping Centre in West Thurrock is about 6 miles away, 20–30 minutes, beside the M25.
Tilbury, 5 miles, 15–20 minutes, is the port town. The London International Cruise Terminal there is the capital's only deep-water, purpose-built cruise facility; by car it is about 6 miles, 15–20 minutes. Purfleet lies on the river near the Dartford Crossing, and Stanford-le-Hope sits close to London Gateway in the east.
Beyond the borough, Basildon is 6 miles, 20–30 minutes, and Chelmsford 22 miles, 40–55 minutes. Gravesend, on the Kent bank, is 18 miles by road, 40–55 minutes, by way of the Dartford Crossing.

Groups & Event Travel in Thurrock
Cruise sailings from Tilbury bring parties of passengers through Thurrock. Forth Ports expected 106 cruise ships from 15 lines on the Thames in 2026, counting Tilbury and the central London moorings, and Ambassador Cruise Line has published its no-fly sailings from Tilbury for 2027 and 2028.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If a party joining the same ship arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. For a family or a club sailing together, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, suitcases for a long voyage included.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early on embarkation days and in the weeks before Christmas. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
