Getting Around Linton
Linton is a village in South Cambridgeshire, south-east of Cambridge on the A1307, close to the Essex and Suffolk borders. Linton Zoo, on Hadstock Road at the southern side of the village, is its best-known address.
The village has no railway station. Whittlesford Parkway is about 6 miles away, 20–30 minutes by car; Greater Anglia runs its trains to Cambridge and to Liverpool Street in the capital. Add the train and its arrival time to the booking, and the car is scheduled for that arrival. For a farmhouse or a home on one of the lanes around the village, send the full address with your booking; the confirmation then tells you where the car will stop.
From Linton the A1307 leads straight into Cambridge, past the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. A day that combines a hospital appointment there, lunch with colleagues in town and an afternoon at Duxford can be booked by the hour: one chauffeur and one vehicle stay with you for the time you reserve.

Airport Transfers in Linton
Stansted Airport is the obvious choice from Linton: 28 miles to the south, 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes by car. It handled 29.76 million passengers in 2025, about the same as the year before, all through one terminal.
Luton Airport is 42 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. London City Airport is 53 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, and Southend Airport also 53 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. Heathrow is 74 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes. The right one depends on your airline and route.
Book with your flight number. On your return flight, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pick-up to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Linton, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: country roads lead to the M11 before the motorway part begins, and a dawn flight from Stansted means a very early start. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. You set the pick-up time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Day-Trip Travel from Linton
Cambridge is 11 miles, 35–50 minutes, for the colleges, the museums or the station. Bishop's Stortford, the Hertfordshire market town, is 24 miles, 45 minutes to 1 hour 5 minutes, and Chelmsford, county town of Essex, is 34 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.
London is 55 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes; for a theatre evening or a family visit, travelling by car means no change of trains on the way home.
Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, is 111 miles, 2 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours, a long day out. If you come back the same evening, an hourly booking holds the chauffeur and the car for you throughout; a one-way transfer ends at your Stratford address, and the way home is booked separately.

Groups & Event Travel in Linton
Duxford's airfield, home of the Imperial War Museum's aircraft collection, is about 9 miles from Linton, 25–35 minutes, and it holds flying days and air shows each summer. For a family party or a club outing to an air show, a Sprinter van carries up to 12 people with their bags, and bigger groups go by coach, with up to 56 seats; the vehicle is matched to the load, including folding chairs and cool boxes.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation. If visiting relatives land at Stansted on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own.
Local vehicles and drivers are booked up early around air show weekends and the school holidays. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
